Happicats Cattery

I have been taking my cat Teddy for a few years now to Happicats. It is home from home for him. Shirley the owner is lovely, she really cares about the cats. The pens are a really good size. Highly recommend. Happicats gives you peace of mind whilst you are away, that your cat is being looked after well. Would not take him anywhere else.

My cats were with Shirley at Happicats for 3 weeks. Shirley was lovely, kind and caring. The cattery is warm, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfy and the cats settled well and returned home healthy and happy. I thoroughly recommend Happicats which is the best cattery I’ve visited or used for many previous stays for my cats.

Over 28 years,our cats have received superb care always at "Happicats".Competence, Kindness and professional expertise are the hallmarks of the owner. She is a warmhearted , welcoming lady who truly cares for all cats entrusted to her.

Wonderful Cattery. Shirley really does care from them and our Jack has come back happy and healthy

DO NOT book your cat into this cattery! We were told the cattery was closed at the door when we arrived to drop our cat off. Owner made no attempt to let us know beforehand so our cat made unnecessary journey there and back home and we had to rapidly change our plans. While I appreciate unexpected events happen it was clear that the owner had known for some weeks that the cattery was closed. Unacceptable way to run a business.

Booked our cat in 3 weeks ago, arrived 3 hours before our departure to the airport on holiday to find out that Happy Cats is closed - permanently.
No text, phone call, nothing.
Just let down on the day!

Our ten month old kitten Marie stayed at Happicats cattery in June 2021 and she had a lovely time.

I was very anxious and upset to leave her whilst we went on our weeks holiday. She is like our baby and we hadn't spent a night apart since getting her in December 2020 but we hadn't had a holiday for two years so we were desperate to go away.

We currently live in London but I am from Nortchurch and so I thought of Happicats as it has been open for years! We travelled on the train to drop her off and the cattery is very clean and safe.

Shirley is such a lovely lady, she is very warm and welcoming and she put us at ease instantly. Marie hasn't really met anyone due to covid (she is a house cat) and she is very nervous but she warmed to Shirley straight away! She could tell that Shirley is a 'cat lady'.

We were all very happy and we will definitely continue to use Happicats when we (hopefully) go away again.
