Precious Pets Motel

We took our 2 cats to this establishment at the end of October 2018. We were met at the gate by the owner and lead to the Cattery. This is a wonderful purpose built cattery holding a max of 12 cats. I was very impressed with the building and immediately thought that it could be marketed as a business start up unit for anyone wishing to run a cattery. The compartments are cleverly designed, with cleaning and access well thought out. Individual heaters for each cat. The whole place was spotless. My wife who had previously been very unsure of placing our cats in any cattery was astounded when our two cats were released from their baskets and immediately wandered into their holiday home. Not a care in the world. The other residents wandered up to their pen doors for a bit of attention, the usual curiosity of a cat. They were clearly not stressed. Upon collection our two cats were rather reluctant to leave their new homes. so they must have felt comfortable and not stressed as I have seen at other establishments. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. For my wife- ( the neurotic cat owner for whom nothing but the best will do) to say we can go away again now we have somewhere good for our cats to stay is a first after 40 years !
Before I finish, I must address the earlier review that is clearly about another cattery or just plain malicious (I fear the latter). Precious Pets Motel is run by Jackie and Mick ( the cattery builder!). At no time did we go into their house as they keep some dogs as well. Jackie is rightly very proud and protective of her business and this earlier review is wrong at every level. My wife had been allowed to visit to 'Inspect' our cats prospective accommodation. She had been very impressed otherwise her precious cats would not have been allowed to go and our weekend away would have been cancelled. If you as a prospective customer, looking to have your cats well looked after, have any doubts, then book an appointment and go see for yourself. It is a lovely place run by people who care and who are practical. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We came across Precious Cats by recommendation and as we have 6 of our own precious cats it seemed to be just the place for them to spend their vacation. We have used this cattery twice in 3 months and would highly recommend as it has both indoor pens with the option to pop out through a cat flap to an enclosed outside area.

Superb owner built facility. Very novel design and practical. Our cats wandered in, and when we collected them, they were in no rush to leave. This year we have a few trips planned and this cattery will be our first choice

Best cattery I've ever used. Conveniently located on the edge of town with safe , cosy , warm purpose built units . I use it all year round . Cats get personal attention making it feel like home from home . I'm sure if my cats could write a review they'd give it 5 stars too.

I've been let down by a friend two days before going on holidays and we've found "Precious Pets Motel" on Google. Things happens for a reason; ended up being the BEST place for our little Julieta! I was very emotional on our way to leave her for the first time (she is only 6 months old). I can't recommend this place enough, as our little princess was extremelly well looked after and Jackie even sent us a photo, which made our day (6.000 miles away). Already booked another 5 days end of March and we know that our precious will feel "at home". Can't thank you enough, Jackie ! *****

Today we fetched Teddy our cat from here after an 8 night stay, all I can say is we are so happy with the care that Teddy has obviously received, he has been fed well and his coat is in perfect condition and his eyes bright and beautiful, we will definitely be using precious pets motel for future stays, thankyou precious pets motel for the care and attention you have given to our most precious possession
