We would not place our two cats Bella and Horace anywhere else. The lady who owns and runs it is top class, all the cats that she looks after are given a lot better treatment than people in hospital. Sheila even has their medication, weight and condition on clip boards outside the cats rooms. Her husband is like me a big cat lover. Brilliant.

We are so lucky to have found this cattery to look after our beautiful boy cat Kenco whilst we went on holiday. We put him into the care of Sheila. I cannot recommend the care that he received high enough, especially with the extra care that he needed, keeping in touch to reassure us. We would not hesitate to have him in your care again in what we would class as his second home.

NEWLANDS CATTERY
March 2019 Our treasured and adored but elderly cat Lou Lou has just spent two weeks at Newlands Cattery. She is very timid, highly strung, fearful of strangers and in view of her age (nearly 18) we were quite anxious about leaving her. However, we needn’t have worried because Newlands Cattery is quite outstanding, a real 5 star hotel for cats which is set in a beautiful peaceful setting. Sheila Calloway, the owner and registered RCVS qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) understood all of our concerns about Lou Lou and discussed with us, Lou Lou’s individual needs and preferences. A couple of days into our holiday, Sheila sent us a text reassuring us that all was well. When we collected Lou Lou at the end of her stay, she was perky and bright, healthy and well fed. It was obvious that Sheila had established a good rapport with our “old lady” cat. We are delighted with the care Lou Lou received. We would thoroughly recommend Newlands Cattery and have in fact, made a couple of bookings for the future. Thank you so much Sheila.

Our elderly cat Lou Lou has just spent her third visit at Newlands and has now returned home with us, happy and contented from her stay. Because of her age, Lou Lou’s cosy, warm unit was tailored to suit her needs and her diet and preferences were discussed and delivered. Now that we have discovered Newlands, we would never take her anywhere else. Thank you to Sheila and Nathan for taking such good care of our treasured cat.

We were very worried about the health of our cat as he was losing weight rapidly and we had paid numerous visits to the vets with him. Whilst in Sheila's care he became very ill and it is thanks to her quick thinking that our cat is alive today. I will never be able to thank her enough.

Sheila has looked after my cat Prince Gaston a few times and I am completely happy leaving him in her care. He is a rescue cat and I was worried he would think I had left him but he comes back very happy. Nothing is too much trouble for Sheila, the 'accomodation' is spotless and Sheila is fantastic. I can highly recommend this 5 star hotel for cats !!!!

I discovered Newlands after my regular cattery closed. My 3 cats stayed here recently for 5 days and I was delighted with the care they received. One of them was on medication due to an eye infection and Sheila looked after him very well. It's a beautiful cattery, spotlessly clean in a lovely rural location run by Sheila and Nathan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
