Jewish Cemetery

In this obscure enclosed Fulham Road square acre, oblivious to most and observed by curious passing top deck bus commuters stands rows of time and weather ravaged Hebrew epitaphed headstones.Twig and leaf strewn graves midst Ash trees which compliment the surrounding gloom and through which shafts of discerning sunlight discover dusty cobwebbed corners disturbed only by the kiss of falling raindrops. This tranquil isolated patch forsaken by the living is the silent domain of Jewish deceased whose names and memories are sadly fading like the dissolving mist of an emerging London dawn.

This is closed to the public but you can see into it when passing by on a bus or if you scale the old brick walls of it.

I charming little corner which is very green and fairly mysterious as to why it’s closed off.
