Loved this place, with some super attractions and enough to keep the family occupied all day. It is a bit rough round the edges but that’s it’s charm. Clearly run by genuinely lovely people with a true passion for the creatures in their care and so knowledgeable being always willing to stop and chat. Absolute delight to see the native species including those no longer living here naturally and some great examples of conservation at work. Pleasantly surprised about the hot food in the cafe which caters for most needs and delivered at very sensible prices with a friendly smile.
We did the family keeper tour about a month ago and would thoroughly recommend. Worth every penny. Keep up the good work!

Amazing place to visit - well maintained with lots of animals to see. The enclosures are large with lots of natural elements. There were a lot of keepers and other staff who were kind, caring and always happy to help. Highly recommended - but don't forget your wellies if its been raining as it will get muddy.

A lovely day out, lots of animals to see and easy to walk around in a couple of hours. We went on a warm day so the animals were out enjoying the weather. The park is easy to get around with paths suitable for pushchairs as well as some raised walkways and rope bridges over the bear, squirrel and wolf enclosures. there's a great adventure playground that my children have enjoyed from age 4 through to 13. There's a drop slide for those who are brave and plenty of other adventurous play equipment.
The cafe is situated at the play park with a takeaway booth and an indoor cafe. The service is slow at the takeaway booth and they don't do the same menu as the cafe and at busy times be prepared to wait to be served. A better system could be in place for this. The park does day tickets and annual pass. We got a day ticket and thought it was a good day out for the money. Parking is free.

Amazing day out with the family. We all had a wonderful day walking around and seeing the animals, reptiles , bees etc.
The only down side was the food in the cafe... my daughters sausage was way way over cooked to the point where the skin was hard and dry. Some of the oven chips wasn't fully cooked and the quiche was chewy which is kinda weird as I've never experienced that.
But I'm still going the park 5 stars as everyone still had a wonderful time.

What a fab find this place was. Wondered what we were in for driving in through the industrial entrance but turned out to be a lovely place based in a woodland. The animals have lovely areas to roam and the staff were very friendly and informative. They have different talks every hour at various areas. Highly recommend a visit.

Nice couple of hours out with the kids. You can leave your food in the back of your car... cooler box on a hot day... the eating area is close to the entrance....its not a zoo but more a small park but really nice to walk round. Not bad access for wheel chairs etc. Kids normally end up in the play area so a wonder round followed by a sit down next to the play area while the kids play safely... one way in one way out. It's what you make it a few hours or longer... enjoy.

A great family adventure, the venue is safe for kids of all ages. Nice cafe but limited selection, not ideal for vegans or allergies. Regular pop up kiosks dotted around the routes selling snacks. Has benches scattered throughout for rests or picnics. The playground area is very large with a separate section dedicated for the much younger toddlers. There is also a crazy indoor slide that is MASSIVE, like half a skate very ramp. Not all kids were brave enough to go down, even with the crowd chanting their name at the bottom. Would not say it is a whole day event, but worth the money. Staff were all very friendly and will visit again.

So incredible to see such amazing animals. Clearly keepers care, and the place is filled with passion.
This isn't some slick capital city zoo, this is something warmer, kinder and more interesting.
