Part of the Blean Complex, an area of ancient woodland. There is a free car park accessible down a rough track, locked over night. There is a dog walking route and several public foot paths where gods are allowed although they need to be kept on a lead or under control at all times. The other paths of varying length dog walkers are asked not to use as they cross sensitive areas where dogs my cause disruption to breeding birds and other wildlife. A number of rides and glades are maintained within the woods for the benefit of the rare heath fritillary butterfly. Nightingales, all three species of woodpecker and even nightjar can be found. Parts of the woodland are carpeted in bluebells and wood anemones in season. There are a few benches along the dirt footpaths and a small picnic area by the car park. No toilet facilities. Some of the paths are uneven and become very muddy especially in winter.

Great place for a walk. It might be RSPB, but the birds are quiet. You can get lucky and see some wildlife other then the common stuff, like tree rats.
Adequate parking but if you have a low car, be VERY careful, vicious speed humps and lots of them.

So far I have only explored a relatively small portion of this extensive woodland. The free car was easy enough to find using Google Maps. It is a fair size and be careful of the many speed humps on the road leading to the car park as they are quite sharp.
There are many marked walks through thick woodland primarily consisting of Chestnut, Oak and Birch.
A lovely place to explore and enjoy.
There are plenty of pubs and cafes nearby for refreshments and toilet facilities.

Watch out for the speed bumps really high and kept scraping the bottom of my car until I went extremely slow and just let it roll over. The walk was good very muddy we did the black trail realised we did a loop and lost our way. We had to retrace our steps to the car park.

Beautiful woods to come at any time of the year.
Well marked different trails. You can come for short or long walks depending on your energy level and fitness. On short walks there will be more people, so if you want to choose more quiet and peaceful walks, choose red or black trails.
Easy access from A2, but be aware of lots of ramps.
The car park is free, which is always a plus.

Well marked trails with variety of distances, peaceful walk, beautiful tress. Added the map photos because it was hard to find this info online and it was also really useful to see the adjoining public footpaths since I didn't drive there.
