Zamm's Chicken

Ordered with UberEats; it came on time and packaged well. Really tasty fried chicken! The best I've found so far in the area. The fries were OK; won't get them again. We loved the spicy wings. We ordered 24 pieces, and they only gave us 2 sauces, so that was a shame. We'd order the chicken again though!

Food is great but the portions are very small, the chips to wings ratio is low and also the chips to burger ratio is very low too. And most importantly the prices of the menu is very high, other shops are much cheaper with the same quality or more.

Great chicken place. Not greasy. Well cooked. Delicious. Crispy.
Polite staff.
Will be back.

Edit: I take back my review. The food is no longer fresh, the chicken burger was the driest thing I've tasted. I was charged £8 for 6 wings and chips, chicken burger and chips with drinks. The fries doesn't taste fresh like a month ago. The sauces are not accessible anymore, not coming back.

I went here many months ago, probably few years ago and the wings and chips were average and stale.

However I visited back few days ago and it looks like they're under new management. The cashier is very respectful, the hot fresh chips are probably the best I've ever tried especially with peri peri dust, wings were decent too. Nice portion of ketchup put over the chips.

It's changed since I last came here so it's a minimum of 4 wings instead of 2 and it's a bit pricey but honestly I'd say its worth it just for the chips.

Why oh why did I stop here?

I bought the wings and ribs "meal"
I ended up with the wings and chicken strips.
The place was not the cleanest. That should have been my first warning flag, but I was in a rush, and I had a ways to drive.
A poor excuse.
The fries were taken out of the fryer, and placed into the fry bin, so I assumed they would be hot.
They were not.
So dumped hot fries onto cold fries.
The display where the chicken is supposedly kept warm, was obviously just that, a display. The chicken was also barely warm, or maybe they were merely warmed by the fries?
The strips were dry, mealy and cold they were obviously there for quite some time. and the wings were greasy and soggy and also cold.
The wings and fries held the taste of stale old oil that had obviously been used well past what it should be.
The food was disgusting and unedible.

I would definitely not recommend this place.

Good little chicken shop amongst a host of chicken shops. They do piri grilled chicken too . Why I went there as I didn't want fried chicken. Prices are good. Staff were attentive. Filled a gap.
