Wings Nursery

Wings Nursery was the second pre school environment that my son tried and we have not looked back since he started there in July. All of the staff are qualified teachers and absolutely wonderful with the children in their care. The nursery is a fabulous setting with a lovely ambience and so many great resources for the children. My son has some communication difficulties and the staff have all been so patient with him, beginning with a staggered integration into the nursery to ensure that he was not overwhelmed & that he settled well. He has picked up using prompt cards and some makaton, and we couldn't have done this without the wonderful support of the nursery staff. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery setting to anyone and will definitely be hoping for a place when my daughter is old enough to attend.

My son is one of the newbies at Wings, starting very recently in October'17. He is age 3 and had little experience in a nursery setting; so he and I were both very anxious as it seemed a big step. The staff at Wings have been so supportive through this transition and settling in period and are always happy to discuss any concerns I have. When I visited Wings I was really impressed by the time I was given to look around and ask any questions and how happy all the children seemed; that I made my mind up there and then that this was the right nursery for my son. The setting at Wings offers a professional but homely childcare setting which I believe focuses strongly on teaching children the skills to become school ready. As a mum I have struggled at times with my sons behaviour but Wings have never made me feel judged but supported and are always willing to offer help and suggestions to work together so he can develop to his full potential. I am very pleased I choose to send my son to Wings and would without a doubt recommend this nursery if you are looking for a high standard of childcare from staff who truely care. Thank you ladies!

This nursery is outstanding and by far the best we've looked at. It is run by fantastic qualified teachers. My son has been going there since it opened and loves it. He has come such a long way with his learning, making friends and helping our son over come separation anxiety which we cant thank the teachers enough for. I would highly recommend this nursery and will be sad when our little boy has to leave to go to big school. Please visit this nursery as you won't be disappointed.

Wonderfull staff, happy children, great equipment, as a mum and a nursery practitioner I really appreciate the friendliness, closeness and home-from-home feel of the nursery. As soon as you enter you are greated with smiles and warm faces, it's amazing what they have done with the place in such a short while and I can not wait to see what the future brings.

This is the best nursery in the area, can't recommend it enough. My son has been going here for 18 months since he was 2 years old. They are so helpful. They have a great balance of structured learning and play, the kids are all encouraged to be friends. The nursery also compliment whatever you're doing at home, e.g the were a great help with potty training. They've given my son a great start in life

I am so impressed with the level of care my son receives at Wings Nursery. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic and my son has built strong bonds with all the adults and children. All the activities are well planned and engaging. They are attentive to his needs and give thorough feedback. He loves outdoor play and can’t wait to tell me about his day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wings! Thank you for all you do!

Amazing nursery run by qualified teachers. My son absolutely loves going to nursery here and has bonded really well with all the staff. My son has additional needs and they have been really accommodating and have always made sure he is comfortable at nursery. The nursery’s senco here is absolutely brilliant and is so supportive whenever I need to chat things through. Really recommend this nursery to anyone in the local area.

This setting is beyond fantastic!

Our son was initially with a child minder, then this care stopped with the implementation of the first lockdown. When settings re-opened the child-minder suffered ill health and therefore we needed to find a new placement for him.

We visited Wings after a recommendation from my sister whose son was taught by the owners of the setting a few years back - he is now 18 at University! When we went to view it our son was instantly happy and totted off playing, whilst Dad and I were shown around. We signed him up and have never looked back.

The activities that they complete with the children are so varied, they have outside play every day and they give each and every child one to one too which is amazing. I have regular updates on Tapestry to review and parents are encourages to upload bits on there too - which are responded too.

Things such as toilet training and writing skills have been easily implemented with the wonderful support of the team here. Nothing is ever too much to ask - recently our little one has fractured his ankle, and the setting have been phenomenal. They've allowed him back and have amended some activities to accommodate him as he is not as mobile currently.

If you're looking for a placement where you can walk away leaving your bundle of joy without feeling any sense of guilt or trepidation - Wings is for you. Our son comes out each day and says the same thing 'I had a lovely day at Nursery today' and this eases any concern that ever creeps in.
