Happy Wok Chinese Takeaway

Good food, excellent service, hard to fault. I order from Happy Wok occasionally and usually straight after work. The food is consistently spot on, delivered rapidly and good value in my opinion. They take note of special instructions and the one time my order had an item missing (today), they called me back and quickly delivered a replacement. I was really happy with the service for correcting a small issue. I don't understand the negative reviews on here as I have always had an excellent experience with Happy Wok and will keep ordering from them. I was initially attracted by their food hygiene rating of 5, which they still have and is worth bearing in mind too.

Never change their food quality since last may. The new owner just to cut down the cost and never improve the service and food. Always made the slow delivery let the food like a stone cold. Even though he always brought the top ranking on just eat for posted the fake good comments. Shame as that shop called Chinese food.

Our go-to chinese takeaway, portion sizes are decent and always tastes good! The satay sauce is simply the best I've ever had!

Ordered on deliveroo, said it would arrive 45 minutes ago but it still isn’t here and can’t get through to the restaurant to ask if it is even coming. Looking at the reviews seems like this happens quite a lot.

Don’t ever order from here!! I ordered and the food never came. Tried calling the shop lots of times but never arrived. I have been charged and tried calling the store the next day and the women on the phone was sooo rude. Stay away from here, you will never get the food!

To put it bluntly, don't order here!

We ordered at 8pm and got a delivery time of 8.35-8.55pm. After 9pm and no update we tried calling, it didn't even ring and just said line busy. I decided to drive there to check the place existed only to be met with disdain and terrible customer service.

The delivery had been collected 5 minutes before I got there which by that time was half an hour after the latest delivery time arrival of 8.55pm. They refused to acknowledge the fact this was unacceptable and simply passed me a pack of prawn crackers as consolation and said they were busy.

I said I tried calling to check on the order and got told the phone was busy. When I went to call the number to prove it didn't ring through, I saw them turn the phone on. They then started getting lots of calls so I must not have been the only one trying to get through.

In short, the food arrived much later than we were told when ordering and they refused to accept any responsibility for this. DON'T ORDER HERE!!

The negative reviews simply aren't true. After seeing someone on Instagram post about how good they are, I decided to try it, no regrets at all. Freshly cooked food, they delivered it before the time which is great. Highly recommend.

Delicious food and super friendly service. They were also really accommodating with vegetarian and vegan options! They noticed we had an all veggie order and asked rather than just giving us prawn crackers which we really appreciated as it showed they understood what is/isn’t veggie! Will definitely order again :)
