Taste Of China

I used to use "Oriental" on Kingsland Road, but believe it might be permanently closed? Saw positive reviews of TOC so thought I would give it ago. Overall not as good as Oriental, bit more greasy , put still a good "traditional" Chinese takeaway. Will use again. I have added photos of the menu supplied. I also though started were a good size for the price.

Food is excellent value and tastes all right, the owner is kind, and the service is quick. Good takeout option for folks on a budget.

My parents bought food from here and now I buy my kids food from here. I know them all and I can ask a dish and they make it . Sometimes I take chilli's I've grown from the garden and they use quality ingredients. It’s the best Chinese food around. About time they made a restaurant. Amen Raphael...

Best Chinese Takeaway in London. Same order every time- Lemon chicken, crispy chilli beef, egg fried rice, salt and chilli chips. Outrageously good. Spent years searching for this and finally found the right place, with great consistency every time

I have been visiting this shop since I was a young child and the service and food has only gotten better not that it had ever been bad. I live quite a way from this restaurant but whenever I am in the area I have to pop in

I write about food for a living and have lived in this area for 20-years, absolute disgrace. Had a £150 order to place for a group of ten journalists. I called nobody answered. Entered at 10pm, nobody there, called again nobody answered. Entered the shop at 10.45pm and they rudely and aggressively told me they had stopped serving and continued to be rude, after I walked a mile to get there. They advertise they close at 11pm online and on their leaflet, this is a lie, they do not care about custom. They do not accept cash and there are very few cash machines in the area. Expect an explanation from the owner of this place as to why they think they can treat customers who have been coming for years in contempt.

I ordered the food on the phone and before I could ask if they accepted card she hung up.. no bye no see you in bit. when I got there they didn't accept card. I only get 30 minute breaks as well. this all could have been avoided if customer service was better. :(

Been going here for 20 years. Excellent excellent food. Recently changed ownership and old chef trained up the new one.

Beef/chicken in black bean sauce is my dish of choice
