Warm welcome, very pleasant surroundings, excellent food and attentive service. Attributes required for any restaurant and Lee Garden delivers on all counts, well worth a visit.

Booked an 80th birthday for 11 people, we had a round table which was very cramped, I understand it’s a big party but we had no elbow room and were very tightly packed in. Considering it was a warm day and the restaurant was full, we were all sweating whilst eating, everyone in the restaurant was saying how hot they were, my T-shirt was soaked in sweat, people had sweat dripping down their faces, no air con was switched on until the end of the meal and it was very ineffective, no doors or windows were opened, it just made very uncomfortable dining. However, the food was delicious, great variety and quality was superb, selection of dishes suited all, great value for money and we all enjoyed it.

Firstly, the food was fabulous. Unfortunately that is the only positive. The guy that served us was utterly rude in every way. Came over to take our food order, got out his pad and just looked at us then constantly looking around the restaurant, no introduction, nothing. Then rolled his eyes when we didn't want starters, was rude when hubby said sweet and sour balls as said they didn't serve them, hubby handed back menu he was looking the other way and we were left hanging. Shook his head and rolled his eyes when we asked for knife and fork. All throughout was coughing into his hands and then asking people what they wanted. He took our bill, coughing and sneezing which I instinctively moved away from, then he walked away and put on a mask. Such an awful shame as food was fabulous but his utter arrogance and obvious disinterest would be the reason we would not return. Such a shame.

Wife and I had previously experienced a lovely meal here however lunch and the sheer nonchalant attitude of staff means that I won't be returning. Ordered vegetable curry with barely any vegetables. Waiter gave the impression that he did not want to be there. No checking to see whether or not we were enjoying our meals.

Went to pay, once again no interest in whether or not we had enjoyed our meals. So I told him anyway. He apologised and stated that he would inform the chef. Its just a shame the chef can't do anything about there poor customer service.

The one star would suggest that there was some redeeming features. There were indeed. My wife enjoyed hers and I was able to find the exit.

We have been to Lee Garden both for a meal and a takeaway, although we live out of the area we don't mind making the journey. My partner is Gluten Free and it's extremely difficult to find a Chinese restaurant/takeaway that will cater for us. Lee Garden is fantastic because of this and we always return as its very much worth it, the food is delicious. 🍲👌
