This restaurant is awful. I placed an order with this takeaway thinking it was in my postal code area. It appeared under my postcode N20 but when the email confirmation came through it was over 10 miles away. I rang the restaurant to cancel the order and they put on their email that I had collected the food at 19.50 which was a lie. I was unable to collect it because it was too far. I rang the restaurant again and they said they would issue me with a full refund but when I contacted Just Eat they said they had never received confirmation from them regarding this. Just Eat contacted the restaurant and had an argument with them. Eventually the restaurant agreed to a 50% refund. Please be warned if you are considering ordering food from Shanghai Taste to think very carefully about it. They are a disgrace.

AVOID!!!! I am a Chinese food lover and regularly try different places in the NW London area. This Chinese was by far the worst food I have had in my entire life. We waited patiently for 2 hours and what arrived was microwaved and definitely gone off!!!!! The food SMELT OFF!! It smelt so bad it was un-edible!! Considering we were starving after waiting 2 hours I think we could have honestly eaten anything, but was worried we would get food poisoning from eating it so the entire £30 take away went into the bin. To confirm the "crispy beef" was soggy, soft and chewy and smelt like cat food and the rest of the food was just as bad!!! I can honestly say I have never wrote a bad review about a food establishment but it would be wrong not to report how dangerously bad this food was. I highly recommend this place is reported to the food hygiene agency in order to be improved immediately.

Food not good, low quality. Bad looking. Large pieces of vegetables, little meat. Cooked unsightly. Actually, the worst Chinese food in London. I regret but for 3 meals I ate one and only because I have nothing in the fridge. a place like this. The only plus is fast delivery, but they don't have customers

Honestly, surprised with so many bad reviews! Ordered Vegetarian Meal via Deliveroo, although I was concerned with the distance the food arrived hot and tasty. Had to give them a call as it took a really long time to be delivered but the assistance was prompt and polite enough. This place will not the best meal you will ever have but it is definitely worth the price and enjoyable.

It was so delicious we ordered the meal for 2. It took a while but considering it’s a large order it’s understandable. It was honestly one of the best Chinese I ever had and I’m not just saying that

Not happy with this place at all.. Bought food from there the other week cost me £12. Went back and ordered the exact same food cost me £19.50 How come? Didnt even come with a drink. Just simple special fried rice ... Won't be going there again

DONT ORDER FROM HERE. Ordered on Uber eats, said 5 to 25 minutes. After 45 minutes I call the restaurant, the person on the phone completely useless; tells me to wait. 1 hour goes by and u call again they say will be arriving shortly. After 45 minutes (1hiur and 45 minutes) I cancel the order on Uber eats. At the same time the food arrives. I started eating and the driver knocks at my door asking me to speak on the phone with the owner and the owner threatened me to give the food back or he we’ll be coming to my door. I started eating already by this point, and I feel threatened and uncomfortable. I give the food back, opened and eaten from, hope they will not use it for next orders to speed up the process. Uber eats is very bad at selecting partners to work with and this place is absolutely unbelievable. Feeling harassed and threatened just for eating the food. Of course no compensation nor refund arrived. DONT ORDER FROM HERE.

I so appreciated being able to get this very tasty veggie Chinese at a late hour. Spring rolls nice and crispy, noodles flavourful. They were nice and quiet and considerate too.
