Happy Gathering

Turned up on a busy Sunday afternoon with no booking. Site was busy but the host was friendly and seated us straight away with no bother.

Dim sum selection was great, food came out hot and fresh. Char siu was the star of the show 🔥 few pictures of what came out first before we stuffed our faces.

There are many choices of different Canton dim sums and they taste well. The staff service is also very well. It is a very nice place for people to chat and gather

A local Chinese friend told us that this is the place to go for amazing Cantonese dim sum. We are from Hong Kong and thought this has to be tried to be believed. Well we went for a Saturday lunch and it was busy with plenty of Chinese people so that's a good sign. We ordered 12 dishes and we weren't disappointed. The dim sum was spot on. There were minor differences but that is part of the charm. The décor reminds me of a Cantonese Hong Kong restaurant that has been around for a long time and this one has been and for good reason. The food was fresh and very tasty. I felt at home in Hong Kong it brought back fond memories and I felt very comfortable there. Everything was of a high standard and I saw mainland Chinese, local Welsh and Brits and Indians who were queueing up to eat here. It shows how diverse the customers are. Oh they have Chinese desserts this is amazing to find out and eat.

This place serves good food, with generous size portions, staff are efficient & reasonably friendly, however there were 4 of us & we'd had a few drinks, so I'd say we were slightly loud, which is the only reason I can think that they ripped us off & charged an extra £1 a bottle of beer (small beers, at that)! Unless this was a genuine mistake. We will be trying this place again but will be a bit more observant with the bill.

It was really great! The patrons were very nice and understanding, the place was very nice and the interior is really really good. The food is very much worth the price in terms of taste, quantity and price. Worth it.

This is a long established restaurant located in the suburbs of Cardiff for well over 30 years.

Management has changed a number of times over this period but unfortunately, the interior decor hasn't. It's dated hardware, dirty stinking carpets, awful lighting and leaking roof through the suspended ceiling would benefit a full refurbishment.

Food Standards Hygiene rating currently displayed on the front door is 1/5, so not good. The restaurant is unsuitable for wheelchair users as first floor is mainly used with no lift access.

Table service is often slow and understaffed particularly during weekends, however, it was much better and friendly today as the restaurant was not busy during lunchtime.

Despite the poor hygiene rating, the quality of the food is generally acceptable, but not always consistent.

Despite being hyper busy the food and service were excellent. Portions not enormous but prices exceedingly reasonable. Most pleasant dining experience.

They have such a poor customer service ever. We were waiting for food for nearly an hour and a half. But the table who came in after us got the food straight away. It’s probably because we’re not Chinese, it seems like they always serve Chinese people first idk🤷🏻‍♂️ we had to asked to get the food after an hour and a half. We also found a piece of a hair in a dish. And the lady who served us literally threw a plate of a dish on top of the empty plate. We will never return to this restaurant again.
