I ordered here as I fancied a change from my regular takeaway, I had heard good things so figured it was worth a shot.
The food came and I realised the order was incorrect. On the phone I had specifically asked if they did noodles without beansprouts, she said they did and added plain noodles to my order, when she read the order back she confirmed plain noodles. The noodles arrived with beansprouts and veg in them, so naturally I rang them to let them know. I explained that I had ordered them plain, but they had not arrived plain. She was adamant that she had not written down plain and the order was correct, despite the fact I had gone the extra mile to confirm they did plain noodles. I hoped that they would at least offer an apology and possibly either replacement noodles or free noodles next time, no such offer was made. Ended up binning them as I can't stand bean sprouts. I understand mistakes can be made, it's just irritating when you specifically asked if they could do plain, and when you ring up in the hope of resolution the woman is rude.
I had also ordered salt and pepper chicken strips, but what came was a breast cut into strips, so I suspect there must have been a misunderstanding here. There also wasn't a great deal of chicken for the price and the tray was mostly onions (see picture). Not great for the price
On the plus side there were quite a few chips, but they were pretty dry.
Ultimately I suppose the food wasn't awful, but was far from the best. The customer service left much to be desired. There are better local takeaways that offer nicer food, with good customer service at a similar price. I have heard that it is under new management, so maybe that is why standards are not as good as people say they used to be, but ultimately it does not excuse poor customer service and for now I'll be avoiding good fortune in future.
EDIT: Since writing this review the owner has contacted me, apologized and offered a refund for the noodles.
Anyway, I ordered Singapore noodles, k## ## chicken and BBQ ribs. The noodles were overly soggy - tasted like yesterday's noodles and the chicken tastes undercooked and not like I've had previously. Big shame I had been coming here for years. I dropped the food back off (half eaten as the kids ate before I got a chance to try it.) The lady was only bothered to say it's already half eaten.i stated I don't want my money back, here's your food! Couldn't be bothered to argue as they had already taken enough of my time up! First waiting on the phone for 45minutes and then popping in 3 times!. Poor customer service and should have offered a full refund to a valuable customer not be concerned about £15.
Normally absolutely love the food here, but last night I have to say I will not be going back here again.
There was an unusual smell to all the food we ordered, and when I tasted it it was not nice at all, needless to say I couldn’t eat it.
I telephoned and spoke to the man who takes the orders and asked had they changed whatever they do the cooking in to which he informed me no.
I said the food was not nice at all tonight and I was very disappointed, it was a though he wasn’t bothered.
Not a problem I just will never go again, which is a shame seeing as we have been going there for a number of years.
