I look at some of the negative reviews and I really cannot believe, that they are for this takeaway. There are smarter takeaways in town, but Poons serve good authentic Chinese food and very generous portions! My family lived in the far east for many years and I was introduced to chinese food at a very young age. I'm used to real chinese food, not the rubbish created for europeans that the Chinese never eat! Give them a go!

Ordered the munch box twice, first time was amazing. So much food. Second time it was 99% chips. Not happy.

The food itself is very nice just seems as if portion size can be hit and miss.

Brilliant food, cannot fault the food at all. However food was left off the order and tried calling back for about half an hour with no reply at all.

Food was “ok”, I’ve had better. The place is a bit dated but that’s ok when it comes to this type of take-away, gives an old-skool vibe.
The elder lady behind the counter was a bit hard to communicate with, she couldn’t really understand me so had to keep repeating things.
