Water Lily Takeaway

Was ok.... standard. Not the best by any means but did the job.

Portions are huge, deffo a plus.

Meat well cooked which is more than I can say for some takeaways in barrow.

I have been a customer here before they moved to this location so before Portland Walk shopping center. I can not articulate my grattitude for there what I feel part of my life. When you order here you will get authentic flavours fresh vegetables melt in your mouth meat. Never in all the years have I had funny tummy. In fact when im feeling run I order and recomend there chicken curry with fried rice loverly thick onion and a recipe that takes me to childhood. If you order at christmas you will get your lucky calender, IT WORKS ,:0 there is a reason you sometimes cant get through on the phone and that because this is barrows best kept secret.

Curry was ok- looked more gravy colour and rice was a little mushy. The chicken wasn't up to much- overall experience isn't what I expected. Won't be trying here again!

Im a contractor who works away up and down the country, I always test the curry first at any new Chinese i visit, and nothing comes close to the waterlily curry, 👍👍👍 best curry bar none. 🤤

Good portion sizes, average food, wouldnt say its anything amazing, not awful either.
Like alot of the chinese takeaways in barrow they dont like to pay tax so its a cash only restraunt, makes me wonder if they avoid tax what other legal responsibilities they avoid.

Probably recomend anchor if you want a good chinese... again cash only though

Food is always good, and the service is brilliant, and has been so for the past 25 years of me using it 👍

Excellent service, great customer service, fantastic food and extremely reasonably priced, definitely recommend.
