Long's Peking & Szechuan Cuisine

This is our local so we do go there a lot. It can be hit and miss though! When it's a hit, it's amazing, but when it's a miss, it's upsetting.

Known for sometimes giving dishes that tastes reheated and bland. I think the fussier you sound, ie : no garlic in this, and not too much chilly in that and yes even, fresh rice . please, etc... You'll get better, tastier food which will have you patting your stomach.

All in all, they are not bad and have a good selection.

Rang and ordered chinese food which arrived in less than 12 minutes later (we are local the the restaurant but still a five minute drive directly from it). You can not safely be cooking chicken etc; from fresh in that time and cook and put together an entire meal in that time. All the food was warm and clearly had been sitting in its tupperware for some time before being reheated and not cooked fresh on the spot. They're selling very low quality food that has been cooked and reheated however long later on. The "lemon chicken" was a chicken escalope with lemon curd poured onto it. Highly recommended against eating from this venue.

We have used Longs for many years and have been satisfied with the food, unfortunately the last two takeaways have been extremely disappointing.
Tonight the food was luke warm, we had to microwave the pancake roll and sesame prawn toast. The spare ribs were a container of thick fat and bones, so all in all not happy.

Hopefully the food will improve.

Very disappointing. Found a long dark hair amongst chicken in black bean sauce. When i callef them i was asked if it was a long or short hair, like it made a difference. I asked them to come and take the meal away but they only wanted to bring another meal. I took the dish back to them and to ask for my money back. They weren't happy about it nor were the other customers in the shop who said they had gone off their food. I won't be going back there again .

One night i was quite hungry, no food in the house, my original chinese was shut so i thought id give longs a try .10 minute delivery for rice, seaweed etc. Extremely quick so its looking quite blatant that they pre make the meals and microwave the tubs, which cannot be good for you. May i also add that one of my close friends has thrown up of their food.

I hope ive helped some of you as i care alot about the quality of the food, and im sure everyone else does too.

Very disappointed . Satay chicken . Didn't taste like satay . Minimal amount of chicken on a skewer that was over cooked. Egg fried rice tasted like salt and was cold. Minimal chicken in chicken chow mein and was greasy . Phoned shop after to let them know and no compensation . Minimum quality and quantity for price . Will never order from here again !!!

Food was nice however we ordered vegetable spring rolls, I’m a veggie and I took a bite to see MEAT inside!! Called the restaurant the women was very rude on the phone telling me I was wrong and that there was no meat in there. I had to argue to get them to send me fresh ones! And then when received they had meat again!!! Wasn’t offered a refund or anything.
