If I could give no stars, I would. Staff on the phone obnoxious and rude. My wife and I used to order from the Golden Palace regularly until she died in March. I tried to order a meal for one this evening. The minimum spend is £8 and my order came to £9.40. The guy on the phone asked for my phone number, and then he read off my address which was on their system, he then asked for my phone number again!. Eventually, after repeating my phone number several times and confirming my address several times, I asked to pay by card. I was told that I had to spend over £10 to make a card payment so had no alternative but to cancel my order. Surely with the pandemic and government advice to pay for all goods by card, they would accept card payments for any amount. Surely their delivery person accepting cash, handling food orders, and possibly giving change is a COVID-19 health risk!. Unfortunately, their terrible attitude towards this customer and disregard for hygiene and safety means they have lost another customer.

Just pre ordered from Dragon palace. It turned up early. 20 minutes from their opening time.
The food was fantastic! The sauce that came with the ribs 👌.
Only ordered from here a handful of times over the last year and the food seems to get better every time.

Please cancel my order over an hour late and I can’t get through to you on the phone for you even to explain what is going on for the last half an hour, when your driver arrives I will be refusing. Poor communication is key to getting bad reviews, have the courtesy to answer your phone and just explain if you are busy. Local people want to support local businesses but if you can’t support your customers I don’t know what you would expect.!

As a customer who orders from this take away restaurant on a regular basis (sometimes weekly and with a minimum spend of around £60), I was left to feel extremely disappointed last night! Due to us decorating and the house being disrupted, we were unable to cook dinner for our children and so we placed an order... Almost 2 hours later and no sign of our food or communication from the restaurant so I called to be told our food will not be delivered as one of the roads on the route were closed. Despite there being alternative access to our road and with no apology, they explained that they had sent their driver home! The fact that if I hadn't called, they would have made no communication to let me know and our children had not eaten (by this time, it was too late to order elsewhere). I did explain to the Manager that if we did not receive the food that I would rate and not be returning my business in the future due to the very poor customer service!

Rude, inept, disgustingly incompetent and unbelievably lazy.
Spent £100 on food, waited 2 hours for it. 2 portions of chips missing, phoned to get delivered and was told we would have to wait another hour because they were prioritising other orders. Only gave a 1 star because I couldn’t give less. Stay away at all costs

Thought I’d give it try as last time a year ago it was rubbish but not good at all this time. Had ropey stomach ache the next day. Would definitely avoid.

The worst customer service ever!!!
Ever since the young man has been taking the orders ,you have to wait over 2 hours and then they get something wrong. The lady who used to take the orders was very polite, efficient and you got your order within half an hour.
This guy needs to go as he is destroying the reputation of this business!!!
This happens every single time he takes the orders. It’s time for me to take my custom elsewhere and give my money to someone who deserves it.

We have had some really good take always from Golden Palace but we noticed a fall in quality/taste around 18 months ago. Against my better judgement we opted to give it another go and we couldn’t be more disappointed. The flood was so bland, lacking flavour, spice and seasoning. We picked it up it so it can’t be blamed on riding around in a car for an hour. Really disappointing how far this place has fallen.
