Happy Valley Chinese Takeaway and Fish & Chips

this place don't deserve any stars.
food don't have any taste, food is not to hot, food is not fresh.
looks like was just boiled with only water. no salt, or paper.
NOTHING!!!!
I call the take away place they give me the owners phone number.
call him and he say he is coming to my work place to "SEE THE FOOD" after I just paid 36.90 pounds for this horrible food.
this places that call them self a restaurant or a take away restaurant, I don't know how they can be still open.
sometimes I feel ashamed of being a chef because of this "CHEFS, THAT DONT KNOW HOW TO COOK."

Great food, great prices and great staff. Always friendly, always happy to help. Been going for nearly 20 years and haven't had a bad meal so far.

Ordered for myself and 4 others, very delicious food. Fast service and they threw in a few bits for free! 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

The portion size was unbelievable, far too much food really. (But that’s never a bad thing). The beef in black bean and chill sauce was disappointing. Very bland, neither tasted of chilli nor Black bean. The curry was very nice and the chips were real home made chips.

I took some takeaway noodles from here after trying food from my friends a couple times. The staff was friendly, however the noodles I got weren’t as good. I don’t know if it was just a bad choice from me or if it usually is at this standard, but the food has an aftertaste of stale oil and it made me feel so sick I had to drink a lot of water to recover afterwards.

I might give the place another chance sometime and maybe change my review. Until then, I cannot give it more than 2 stars.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area. Food excellent & reasonably priced. Staff really friendly. I’m just hoping they don’t leave the Hilltop when the remaining shops are demolished.

For what you get this is overpriced. Rice was as white as snow and bland, the chips were soggy mush and the chicken chow mein had huge chunks of unappetising chicken. Wont be coming back.

best chinese food i’ve had in my life! however, i’ve only been here once. amazing portion sizing, amazing packaging, taste was amazing!! price wasn’t the cheapest you can find but definitely worth it for the quality. i will be returning very soon, thank you
