Golden Place

Don’t normally write reviews but the quality of food here has plunged downhill. The sauces are watery and the protein used is questionable! It’s either oils riddled or water based, filled with sodium, msg and goodness knows what other substances. Underwhelming experience with zero value for money. Never ordering from here again!

Easily the worst food I have ever ordered, and unfortunately the first time I've ever had to throw it away. Everything was extremely bland, delivery took two hours and my singapore fried rice ended up being a standard egg fried rice? Biggest waste of money ever.

Above average Chinese takeaway. Friendly front-of-house staff. You can view their kitchen+prep areas from where you wait at the reception - these guys have great teamwork., their two wok chefs are masters of their art! Would love to try their aromatic lamb next time.

Loved the food from Golden Place so much we went there 2 days in a row. Yesterday on our first visit we got the prawn toast, Singapore fried rice with shrimp and extra curry powder, Thai pancake rolls and king prawn chow mein. On the second visit we got the prawn toast and Singapore fried rice again and we also got the salt and pepper chips and Singapore fried noodles with shrimp and extra curry powder and the kung po king prawns with chilli.

The prawn toast was the best I have ever had and the Singapore fried rice was delicious and packed full of flavour. The kung po king prawn was also amazing.

The dishes with the king prawns had huge prawns and a minimum of 10 prawns in each dish.

The food is a good portion size and excellent value for money.

We will definitely be back!

They home deliver in the local area, have great variety on the menu and they are happy to make modifications to dishes. Very good quality food, generous quantities and excellent customer service make them stand out.

I called them once and described what I was craving (and couldn’t find on the menu) and bless them, they customised one of their preparations for me. It was delicious and I was charged the same amount as other similar mains.
Surprisingly, when I called several days later to place the same order again, they remembered me and what I had asked for and were happy to prepare my choice of main again. It was equally good as the first time they made it. Definitely my single most favourite restaurant for Chinese food
