Ordered for delivery. From placing the order it would an hour for delivery, didn’t arrive.
I then phoned to ask for an update where I was told it would be quite a while yet because they hadn’t started it yet but if I wanted it soon I could collect in 15 minutes. I opted to collect. A full 45 minutes later I was given my order. No apologies or good will gestures at all!
The food was very average and quite underwhelming. Ended up having a microwave meal!
Hopefully this is an isolated case but the way it was dealt with I highly doubt it.
Be cautious when ordering from here.

We ordered a set meal for two at £15 each. Every dish was nice and tasty. The food arrived well within the time given and it was still hot. A very nice first experience from this takewaway. Will definitely order again.

We ordered multiple entrees at a busy time and they said they were overwhelmed. When the food was delivered, we discovered that the restaurant has missed 2 of the meals and rice. We immediately called up and spoke to a woman on the phone, and she said to just tell the person about the missing food the next time we ordered from there and they would make them. We ended up calling two weeks after initially ordering, and were told that we were lying about the order and the missing food. Very poor customer service, and definitely will be telling others about our ordeal.

I’ve ordered from China City Kitchen a number of times the food has always been piping hot, good portion size and very tasty.

I understand that they get extremely busy on weekends so am always fine if it is later than advised, however when is over an hour late it is not acceptable.

The staff were polite when I called to see where my order was 1hr 20 after I placed it. I was told it was on its way.
After another 20 minutes waiting I called again, staff were polite and apologised telling me it hadn’t been cooked as it had been too busy.

I appreciate at times it is busy, however I do not appreciate being told my order is on its way when it’s not even been cooked and the fact I had to keep calling to find out where it was.

I think in future I will have to look at other options in the area on weekends as it seems peak times they are not the best.

Food just about warm, had to be reheated. Random uncooked chips in Malaysian curry. Not just 1 or 2 either but quite a few like they were trying to bulk out the dish. Salt and pepper chicken had no taste of salt and pepper and batter was so pale I'd argue that it was only in the pan for a few seconds, was also soggy. This was the same for the chicken wings as well. All disheds had no flavour to them at all and were very bland.
Tried to call restaurant to complain but couldn't even get someone to answer.
Will NEVER order from here again.

Ordered a 1/4 duck delivered on Deliveroo. Duck meat was discoloured/green. Chucked it straight in the bin.

Initially we found this place and food was good. My daughter found egg shells in her rice which was the most disgusting thing you can find whilst eating. I thought nothing of it as we always order from there. I then opened a second portion of rice only to find more egg shells. Not just a piece, actual pieces of the shell. It had to been at least half of the actual egg shell in my order. This has to be the most sickening sight. I then called the restaurant the next day just to politely inform them as this is my usual shop. The lady on the phone then told me there’s nothing they can do because I didn’t return the food…Im sorry what!!! This experience has really put me off eating this type of food again. Will not be ordering from here again!

This was more expensive than surrounding Chinese restaurants/takeaways and the food was nowhere near as good. The Singapore chow mein was tasteless, no spice at all (I actually thought I was given the wrong order), the vegetable spring rolls were soft, and it took much longer than advised to be ready for collection. Shame, it has a lot of potential.
