I agree with a previous review about be careful what dish you order. I had to phone to complain about the Lemon Prawn I just ordered, which has left a horrific taste in my mouth - the sauce was just lemon and sugar (or sacharine so it tasted like urine) poured over , over cooked prawns that were frozen and over fried, and tasteless rice. Absolutely disgusting. I have been many times and had a couple of nice dishes but due to the very bad customer service when I called to ask if I can get a refund or credit note, and the lady not giving me the managers contact details or passing my details onto him I have given them one star and they have now lost a customer! Here's a picture of the disgusting lemon prawn dish they asked me to send them a photo but no email I can send it to. Very peculiar in this day and age that they only accept cash too...a bit fishy!

ZERO STARS. just ordered from here as my son said the one in East Barnet was good. I had my doubts but ordered anyway. roast pork picture was clearly not crispy belly pork when it arrived and the pork was clearly re cooked, dry and not fresh - inedible. I immediately requested a refund from Deliveroo and clearly will never go back. Should have stuck to my local Wings which was always good.
Avoid this one at all costs.!!! worst chinese ever consumed

Food was absolutely fresh, delicious and clearly prepared with love. It's my first order and will definitely be ordering again cos Fortune Cat's got the best Chinese food in Barnet. I swear I should've tried them sooner but I guess it's better late than never. Thanks guys for cooking with passion, please keep up the good work!!!

***2 WEEKS LATER***
Ordered exactly same meals and not only was I missing rice, they were so salty that I had to throw them out that's why I've downgraded my review from 5 star to 3. Will give them another try to decide whether to stick or switch.

***ONE MONTH LATER***
Decided to order same with a slight difference by ordering extra. Out of 4 items, only 2 arrived and the food was so spicy that I had to bin (again). Honestly, I love spicy foods and eat raw jalapeños but this food was manky. Tasteless and only tasted salt and too hot pepper. Its fair to say that I'm never ever ordering from Fortune Cat anymore cos they're inconsistent and never take responsibility for their mistakes. I wonder how many more foods go missing and they add to their profits???🤷🏿‍♀️

Never had a bad service from them, if I have to order food it's from them ♥️ 1000% would recommend. I ordered chicken fried rice and chinese BBQ roast of chicken with Chow mein side. Delicious ♥️

I ordered salt and pepper prawns with vermicelli. No doubt the food taste good but the vermicelli is just 6/7 wooden forks full filled with chunks of onions. That is so deceiving. If one doesn't like onions, they will be hungry after ordering this meal. Inclusion, not value for what you pay for. More more money less quality for food.

TL:DR = Awesome selective dishes but some were disappointing. Generous portion size and great value. They also sell my favourite brand of Milk Tea <3

Based on other the other reviews, it would be wise to be careful which dishes you order. I had Dim Sum Platter For One (I wolfed it down before I remembered to take photos) and Chinese Roast BBQ Duck with Hofan. I can personally recommend both of these.

My colleagues had:

Salt & Pepper Chicken (with Chow Mein and Egg Fried Rice) = They said this was rather dry and could do with more sauce.

Wonton Noodle Soup = Quite bland. Much better once chilli oil was added.

Chicken Szechuan Chilli Chow Mein = Decent noodles but Chicken were too fatty and unpleasant.

Salt & Pepper Mixed Vegetables Chow Mein = Flavourful and excellent choice for vegetarians.

Never have we ever tasted such inedible seafood fried rice (half the rice was undercooked and the prawns had no flavour whatsoever) and the chow mein noodles was simply unpalatable. What a disappointing experience!

I liked the recyclable packaging. But it made the chips quite soggy. And smaller portions of the mains. The sweet and sour chicken was neither sweet nor sour and the sauce was quite clear. The chicken in the chicken balls was quite hard. The "vegetable fried rice" consisted of only large cuts of cabbage and mushroom. Other than that. The food was edible and tasted okay. But I'm not sure if I would order again.
