King's Takeaway

New management, overall quality of food has risen. My favourite dish is the chef's speciality menu roast pork and duck. The meat is beautiful with a light sauce and a garnish of spring onions. It can get quite busy so there can be a bit of a wait.

According to the gentleman behind the counter they have been around for the last 20-25 years...not the best chinese in London,average waiting time and ok food for a sensible price,also remember that you cannot be too fassy this side of the world as there's not much happening in over a mile radius unless you want to go fishing and do it yourself.

The food took an hour to arrive. I ordered squid and chilli beef, both were nice but a little too spicy for my liking. Would order again if a more mild version would be available, as right now I can't really taste anything and my mouth is burning...

Tasty chicken with cashews, tasty &meaty prawn toast, great crispy chicken noodles, chilli and salt prawns were too spicy and a bit naff, seaweed was ridiculously too salty but everything else was pretty delish, different but nice BBQ sauce. Overall yummy value for money!

this is why i need to read reviews before ordering. i was debating whether to get pizza or chinese. i chose chinese. i ordered prawn chow mein. the noodles were ok but they were very dry. the prawns were nasty 🤢. it has this stuff around it and it was horrible. the prawns were rubbery. i also ordered coke with it and it was flat. wouldn’t buy from there again. wouldn’t recommend.

Terrible place. Do yourself a favour and do not order from this King’s Takeaway. Both myself and my son felt ill after eating only half of "king prawns" in the black bean sauce. There were very few tiny shrimps and the sauce was vile. Chicken with cashew nuts was even worse with chicken simply inedible and the terrible texture of the sauce really put us off. It really is the worst food experience we have had in London

The food is not cooked by a Chinese man which u would expect. Especially thinking he knows his stuff and was brought up around it. But I'm told it's a African Male who cooks. And tho some dishes have been manageable others have been unedable. I love Chinese food very much. And attitude behind the counter is nothing less than...ok then. Phone in hand ignorant. Not for me anymore. New chef.

The chicken chow mein was very nice, however the curry wasn't .
There was hardly any meat in it and watery plus huge pieces of vegetables and mushrooms.
It was in a cup so not very hygienic or safe and overpriced
