The duck starter we ordered was okay, but both mine and my husband's mains tasted terrible, I would not recommend the chicken with veggies was absolutely tasteless, I would have expected some salt or soy flavors at the very least. My husband ordered a "special" king prawn dish that was meant to be in satay sauce. It tasted absolutely nothing like satay and was extremely spicey with very little other flavors.

Fulfilled a huge order for a group of Chinese students. They reviewed it highly and praised its 'delicious, traditional Chinese food'. Thanks guys!!

Ordered from The Lotus House for about ten years now. Always speedy service and tasty food. Never had any reason to complain. With only one exception, they close every year for a week around my birthday.

Simply not nice. Chicken seemed to be overcooked, couldn't even chew it, perhaps off to begin with. Tasteless goes sauces. Just can't find any positives about this place. I just hope I don't feel sick in a few hours.

Went there a few days ago, and the food was gash..
My mate sheddon said it was a great place, not for me what so ever.
The chow Mein smelt funny, and the sweet and sour chicken balls has a strange after taste.

I should of complained but it what it is, avoid..

LOVE this place. Crispy duck is divine! But beyond that they always serve consistently delicious food - actually surprised reading some slightly negative reviews as I consider myself to be fussy when It comes to finding a good Chinese takeaway. Also really friendly staff.

Tried out for first time. Crispy duck was okay. Chicken with cashew nuts pretty flavourless, although at least reasonably generous on the cashew nuts. Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style went down okay with kids. On the plus side pleasant to deal with on the phone and quick.

Service was good and it was all pretty quick but the food was mostly tasteless. The flavours you do get aren't nice either and the meat was very chewy. Disappointing.
