Golden Dragon Chinese&English Food To Take Away

Food was cold and when I complained, they told me it could be microwaved! What the hell? I want hot food delivered when I’m not cooking dinner myself. Told them I wanted it replaced and they said no chance! Had I not had any wine, I’d have driven there and not left without a refund. I have never in my life received a Chinese this awful or been treated like a piece of dirt. These people customers pay their wages. I’ve told everyone I know to avoid here. You’ve just got your hygiene ratings up and your customer services has gone right down to zero. Horrible nasty people. Told me to complain to someone else. Hope whatever he eats next chokes him.

Don't know what's happened to Lychee gardens but used to get great food and service here. Ordered last night and had Thai green curry which was so watery I couldn't even say it was like soup. Spare ribs tough and rice tasteless. Chips like rubber....seemed like oven chips warmed up! Plus they messed up the order and didn't get the rest of items till much later. Sorry won't be ordering from there again!

Absolutely appalled.
Sweet and sour Cantonese chicken has only onion in no pineapple or peppers.
Curry lumpy and had to add water and stir.
Called to complain, husband hung up on.
I called back and they told me it’s just eat’s Problem not theirs.
Told them they make the food not just eat and they said they didn’t care!! Awful customer service - do not order from these horrible people!

Ordered takeaway from here tonight. Food was excellent, fast delivery, and very reasonably priced. Ignore the old reviews, these are from when it was lychee garden. New chef here is from the old amington house takeaway. Food tastes exactly as i remember from there, so if you liked it give them a try. Will definitely be coming back.

Top marks for delivering the food HOT. It also happened to be rather tasty and there was so much of it we couldn't finish it all. Will be using again in the future.

Ordered the grilled fillet steak in gravy and the steak was perfectly cooked and everything was delicious and delivered on time and hot . And I think it's the only place in Tamworth you can get a steak delivered next time I will be ordering the Sirloin steak 🥩

Our first time using this take away since it was lychee gardens. Really good, tasty food, generous portions and a good price. We had a variety of appetisers and mains with a couple of extra dietary requests which were catered for with no problems. Polite and friendly staff who were knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be back!
