Cefn Chinese Takeaway

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

So bad that we are not even eating it. The crispy beef smells extremely funky and has the most horrid aftertaste so we have had to leave it for fear of food poisoning because it really does smell and taste 'off'.

Steer clear would be our recommendation. The only reason we tried there was other Chinese takeaways in this area were shut because of the Chinese New Year.

DISASTROUS

If I could give this place less than one star I would. The food is terrible, the service obnoxious. I gave them a few chances and felt cheated each time. They kept getting orders wrong and wouldn't look me in the eye after the first time. They knew what they were doing and for some reason they continued in their nothing less than spiteful manner. I will never set foot on the premises again. Such a shame after the excellent standard it used have. The sooner they close down the better.

Food is always piping hot and tastes beautiful! Such friendly chatty owners and the renovation is the best Chinese around ...100%, wouldnt go anywhere else !!

Been using for years and is always good tasting food. Delivery driver always nice.

Over priced delivery. £5 odd and a sneaky price change, advertising new menu prices amongst old prices. Very confusing when it comes to the meal deals. A meal that should have cost roughly £20 is now costing £28 odd.

DO NOT USE THIS DIVE DO NOT USE THIS CHINESE. The exterior might fool you but maybe instead of spending so much money on the exterior they should of put the money towards cooking classes. The beef curry was so thick I had to use a knife to cut it to dish out onto the plate, the beef was like leather and full of grissl. The chicken fried rice was chewy and greasy. The chips were the only nice food item there. Their customer service is diabolical. Phoned and took the food back and they refused to give our money back and instead started acting as if we were the victims getting their phones out. Shouting and raving and waving arms ... Disgusting. It's not even rateable but I couldn't write this review unless I rated it a 1. DO NOT USE!!!!!

Ok where to start , wasn't very happy with the food at all . I had duck chow mein with spare ribs in (sweet and sour sauce) chow mein was cold and greasy and the taste was very bland indeed and the spare ribs was very fatty with a very sickly , vinegary sauce , not very nice at all . I won't be going there again and the only reason I gave 2 star rating is because the staff was warm and friendly.

Really good Chinese, decent price and the only Chinese i've found in South Wales that makes a decent duck in plum sauce without pineapple.
