Well what can we say this is an absolute hidden gem. We discovered it with the brown sign and was interested with what the Murals were in a Church and were not disappointed, it is such a historical church started in early 12th Century. We spent about an hour looking round as there is so much to see from the Murals, Stained Glass Windows and loads of memorials to wealthy families and locals. Absolutely worth a look. Upon leaving we were greeted by a lovely couple (think they were the Church wardens) the lady gave us a informal tour about the Church and was very knowledgeable.

Probably best visit on a bright day as there was no lights on or any switches. Nice guide book and information boards on display. Church has some nice stained glass windows. There is a toilet in the church. On street parking

Beautiful village with an exceptionally beautiful church. First Deacon for St. Peter's was 1103. Most of the remarkable stained glass windows are by renowned artist, Charles Eamer Kempe (1837-1907). As an added bonus, there are the Traquair Murals to view and enjoy. It is well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place, lovely church dating from the 1220s with perfect murals from 1904-05 and lots of details about them in a detailed display. There are also lovely stained glass windows too.
