St Mary's Church, Studley Royal

We were already exhausted when we came across this beautiful church. It was worth summoning extra energy to see it. What a lovely surprise!

Great little church with a stunning ceiling and lucky enough to get to hear the delightful organ being played by one of the volunteers. Well worth a visit!

Lovely church with superb marble work and decorated ceiling, well worth a visit but it is advisable to check opening times.

Fabulous spot, beautiful view and walk down to village at the bottom of the hill, watch out for the herd of deer charging around!, (especially if you are on a bike), can be a bit of a shock.....

Little friendly church. Staff is also very helpful with visitors. Situated in magnificent settings, a grandiose deer park. I visited the place under a glorious sunshine. That helps too.

This is a church within the World Heritage Site of Studley Royal. Whilst the church itself is not particularly old, dating to Victorian times, is particularly beautifully designed with a lot of money spent on its internal appearance.

To get here you walk about 10 minutes from the Visitor Centre Car Park or the Deer Park Car Park. There is no public car access.

The church itself is not open all year and only open for 4 hours a day when it is so always check on the English Heritage website before visiting.

Very nice and quiet place.
