The church in Llanllugan is dedicated to St Mary, like many in the area. The current structure is almost entirely 14th and 15th century, comprising a small but undivided chancel, porch on the south side and an overhanging bellcote. The original late medieval roof is intact and much of the 15th century stained glass remains. The church is small, like many rural churches but has real character. There are plenty of old, well used cushions on the pews and a very full visitors book. The organ is particularly impressive for such a small church. The church yard is a little unruly but not badly maintained. The names on the graves are almost all from the immediate area. There is a small area to park cars but the church is accessed by windy single lane roads.

Interesting piece of architecture with some history .
