Lovely little Park well maintained with a lovely pond. We visited this park to view Blackberry the Snowdog and it was well worth the walk as it was one of my favourite dogs in a beautiful quaint surroundings.

If you've not been to this outstanding Cardiff Park in Canton yet, then you're missing out on one of Cardiffs Best Hidden Gems - for it is beauty in itself.
For Thompsons Park will astound you. The landscape dips & dives, the very well maintained flowerbeds & ponds are awash with floral splendour, where wildlife abounds. There's even a wee coffee shop at the entrance on the Romilly Road side. The architecture & natural flow of the metalwork stopped me in my tracks and made me pause for thought & the views from the top, well, I'll let you decide 👌💚😮😁🦆🦢🦉🐾🦡🦇🐿️🐸🐞🦗🐛🐝🐜🦋🕷️🦟💮🌸💐🏵️🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷🌱

This is one of my local dog walking parks. The bottom part of the park has a lovely small coffee shop which serves locally roasted coffee, the top part allows dogs off lead. It's a great park to meet other dog walkers, and it won't be long before your own pup will join the other dogs of all ages and shapes in playing and mucking about. Great excersize for the dogs, great opportunity for you to talk to other locals.

Nice city park. Large field for dog walking. There's also a large pond which attracts ducks. Park is on two levels with steps and inclines beteeen them. Theres also a small cafe serving good coffee and snacks. Dog friendly. I've been visiting for around 60 years. It's still a welcome green space in an urban area but is now rather neglected - it once boasted spectacular flower beds, fishponds and shrubberies in the Victorian style. Today it is largely composed of lawns and mature trees.

Really nice place for a walk, no playground for the little ones mind so it really is a suitable place for a picnic, dog walk or stroll with the pram. From the entrance at Romilly road you are at the bottom of the park. You can walk up the path on the left to the green space at the top or the more adventurous with little ones can walk up the steps on the right. Best part - kids of ducks for toddlers to coo over!

Small coffee shop at entrance too - with non dairy options available.

Lovely park with duckpond takeaway drinks and a variety of areas in which to walk. In springtime it is a mass of daffodils and crocuses. Love spending time here.

Gorgeous park. Multiple levels accessable via stairs or steep slopes that may not be suitable for some wheelchair users without help. Coffee available.
