As a POM who lives in Oz, from what I've seen and read
I'm embarrassed of the way the officers and higher ranks treat the public
Very unprofessional and arrogant.
Too many cameras around these days to misbehave!
Bad officers get good ones hurt!
You all know the one's!

I have never encountered anything like this. Arrived with my friend in a complete panic attack, and the police officers at the desk just proceeded to lecture us rather than help solve our issue. Got told they were « too busy » and that the wait to file a report would be « hours long ». Came back hours later only to be further belittled, without them offering us any solution or advice on how to proceed. We didn’t file a report with them because the police officer implied that it would just get ignored. Appauling. We managed to file a report and be taken seriously by calling the london police number.

my laptop was stolen two weeks ago at Pret a Manger, and it was recorded, including the thief's face. I reported the incident immediately to Pret and also filed a police report the next day. It's been 10 days and still not a word. total disregard toward tourists and stolen property.

Met police be ashamed of yourself,
devoting in enforcing a 200 years old law at people
in my experience corrupt police force are working for the corporations and mostly don't know it.
The met have become revenue collectors
THEY FORGET they are public servants Until then- my confidence is at an all time low
The police are now reduced to a reactive service rather than the previously proactive force. Consequently, they have lost control of the streets and their abilities to protect the public.T
HATS WHY some coppers made some big mistakes. They then told big lies to cover those mistakes, and falsified their statements

Exampels: Officer Daniel Richardson 3006
Examples: Officer Thomas Benedict Caulfield 247
are among most corrupt officers in UK

Another fine example of police abusing their "powers"!! Sgt Mark Coates, 5377. Needs to brush up on social skills and maybe LEARN the LAW regards to PUBLIC photography. PINAC.

i understand the police are busy with more severe situations than stolen phones however i was called for an appointment at 4:30 at this branch and waited around with my friend for two and a half hours who also got her phone stolen. In the end we didn’t get an appointment with an officer and instead received an email that they have closed my case an hour into our wait in the station.
I was lucky i checked my email when I did or else who knows how long my friend and i would be waiting as no officers told us anything besides they’ll be with us.
Avoid this branch.

Gave us food and clothes, but showers took a while (understandable if busy and no female police officers). Cool building space when you first go in the 'cage' after the pixie vans. My officers handled me with care by picking me up on all limbs but then shoved me on my back into the van lmao. One of the officers with me was 1324 and she was super nice, handled me nicely communicated calmly and friendly vibes like saying "at least you made him (the sarge) laugh. I know sometimes this is a tactic to get you to open up however, she even said "hope you have everything you need, best of luck, take care" <3 The custody staff bringing stuff to me though was very agitated and frank haha, we think he's not mean but just really up-front and verbal, like he said "you know what time it is? This is not a hotel service, It's sometime in the morning, something to 3 now"
"What time is it"
"I'll tell you when I come back......*comes back with food I requested-vegan breakfast and rice* it nearly 12, I'll check on you every half hour (meaning I can ask for stuff then), don't ring the buzzer ok? *I nod and say "yes"* good.

One of the sarge's checking my friend out gave the travel warrent copy to my friend and we think that it's on purpose, so not the nicest sarge.

What an absolute joke. They are fantastic at protecting thieves identities and useless at solving crimes. It took two weeks for the officer assigned to my case to contact me for a high value theft report just for him to close my case immediately with zero investigation or follow-up. They ignore emails for days on end along with the evidence handed directly to them. The police in London are practically encouraging robberies with their lack of effort and interest in investigating them.
