The address given for this business is not correct: It is not in the village of Rosebush, but over a mile beyond, behind a locked gate and up a mountain track. Not knowing this, I made an appointment to see the clock repairer with my broken clock, and drove over an hour to this remote house. I was not happy when he was out and I had to wait 25 minutes till he returned. Then when it came to picking it up again, he ordered me not to drive up to his house this time because non-residents are not supposed to go beyond a locked gate. (Apparently it was okay the first time I came.) He told me to call ten minutes before arriving and he would meet me in the village below. However there was no mobile signal anywhere for my phone (my server is Orange / EEE which is a common carrier) so I had to leave the car in the village and walk up the mountain track to his house instead on a freezing cold morning. When I knocked at his door, his wife came and just handed me the clock with no word of empathy, let alone apology. I even had to ask her to put it in a bag since I only had a backpack to put it in and was afraid it would get jarred on the way down. I ended up having to wrap it in my woollen scarf to secure it. The clock repairer himself never even came to the door to tell me what he had done to the clock. Oh yes, and it cost £45 to repair a battery-run clock which cost me £15 from a charity shop in the first place! I hope it remains fixed so I don't have to go back, and I hope Derek learns a thing or two about customer service if he wants to stay in business.

Derek has successfully mended an old clock of ours on two occasions - it was a different problem each time, some 10 years apart. He helpfully came down to meet us at the arranged time in Rosebush, gave us an estimate after examining the clock, mended and returned it for the agreed price. Excellent service, diolch yn fawr.

This repairer is based over a mile beyond the village, behind a locked gate and up a mountain track. Lots of very friendly advice from the village but there was no local phone signal to contact him. We tried to drive there but, with no guarantee that he was available at the end of a wet walk, we gave up. He may be great at watch repairs but most inconvenient to reach. Avoid unless you live locally and enjoy mountian tracks!

Terrible service then wanted to charge. Not even fixed ..had to go back a few times. Rude and not professional. He was very threatening about receiving money. Threatened him to a smalls claim court. AVOID! -stars not even 1 but had to put 1 or else the review void..
