Loverly job shortening my curtains. Took a while but granted these curtains are huge. Would recommend highly.

This is a fantastic local service. Marilyn went out of her way to source the materials needed for my skirt alteration and kept me updated throughout. It's always hard to find a good expert tailor so I am really pleased to have found Alter Ego.

Took my daughter prom dress to Alter Ego, needed a little alteration, just better cups and a little bit taken in around waist. Took the dress in March which was well before most others took prom dress. Was told it would be ready in 1 month. Called a couple of times to find out if dress was ready and each time the date was pushed back. In the end picked up the dress 10 days before prom! Unfortunately due to the closeness to prom my husband went with my daughter to pick it up. All seemed OK, but have now found that the alteration was not done how we were advised it would be. The dress has lovely detailing down the back of the skirt which due to the way it has been altered now doesn't fall correctly and you can't see the detail at all and it is puckered up around the zip. The detailing is why my daughter liked the dress. Now it's too close to prom to sort it. Very disappointed especially as alterations were not done when we were told they would be. Will not be using again.

Marilyn altered my wedding dress to perfection! She even did my mother's dress and added a missing button onto a suit.

We needed a few sessions, so I would advise giving her enough notice.

I would definitely recommend her. Very friendly and reasonable prices! She looks at a dress as a dress and prices with the work that needs doing. She doesn't price up just because it's a wedding dress which can be common.

Alteration made to a raincoat- sleeves taken up very neatly. Dress re-hemmed, so it's given it a new lease of life. Very pleased with the results. Many thanks.

Marilyn was extremely accomodating, I gave her my suit to alter 7 days before my wedding and she turned it around in time for the big day. The alterations were great and the suit fitted much better than before. Thank you Marilyn! Would definitely use again.
