I gave my daughter's Champion jacket that had come apart behind the shoulder. The lady that served us and fixed the jacket (the next day it was ready) was extremely polite, helpful, and did a great job. Prices are reasonable/cheap. The whole customer experience (service, messages to notify me, receipts, etc.) was extremely professional and customer-oriented. I highly recommend doing business here. Excellent people.

I've used Chalk regularly over the last 3 or 4 years for minor (but to me crucial) alterations to clothing items. Right from the first job I found Amy to be friendly, open, courteous, considerate, attentive, skilled and professional. To Amy no job is more important than another - and no job is too small - because she gives equal attention to all her customers and instinctively understands that to each of them their needs are important, whether it is creating a spectacular wedding dress or adding pull tags to zips. To me this bespoke, ethical approach indicates a dedication to high-quality empathic customer service that is one of the hallmarks of a good business - quality, care, attention to detail and the personal touch. Amy and her staff make me feel that my custom is valuable despite it being merely occasional, small-scale clothing alterations that I need to make dressing easier. The presence of Amy and Chalk Tailors in my neighbourhood is a gift to me and a credit to her.

I picked up a suit today for my wedding which is in 5 days time. My father unfortunately passed away in December; so we were looking to get one of his suits tailored down several sizes so that he could still be part of my wedding.

I originally took the suit in on the 13th May and was told they needed a month for the work. Booked the original collection for the 9th June. When I called up on the collection day rolled around I called up to check everything was ok; I was told that the person that looks after suits was on holiday would not be returning till the 12 July, and would it be ok to pop in again on this date to make sure everything was still ok for the work to be completed.
So I went back in on the 12th, everything was checked and I was told it would be ready by Friday (today). I was also told that they now recommend the trousers are lengthened and had the audacity to say this would be a further charge!

When I collected the suit I tried it on I commented that it seemed the jacket was still a little big, to which I was told, "No, it is perfect" I drove home and am in tears; not sure what to do as it feels like the suit has been ruined by a two day bodge job and I dont know how to get it fixed. I am just devastated😢

Walked/ driven past for years now. Finally needed an amendment. Superfamily turnaround (for a small fee) but the owner was kind enough to get this emergency sorted with a few hours.

Definitely going to come back soon!

I brought my wedding dress here to be altered based on a recommendation and I am so glad that I did! Amy was absolutely amazing from the beginning- my dress needed *alot* of work doing to it with many alterations and adjustments, and she was always very patient when I came in for my fittings.

Amy is highly skilled, very professional and a genuinely kind person - I would 100% recommend her to anybody. Looking at my dress now compared to where it was before it’s incredible what has been done, she’s an actual miracle worker, and I am very grateful for all the time and effort that was put in to it.
