Brackenbury Tailors

We have used Brackenbury Tailors for years. Highly recommended. Most recent triumph was getting a 20 year old overcoat re-lined and worn cuffs overlaid in leather. The care and effort that went into sourcing the materials and the workmanship was superb.

Super friendly guy, took my dress up in a couple of days, when I came in on a deadline, and did the finish exactly as it was before. He did the alterations in the back of the store rather than sending it out elsewhere.

As always with Brackenbury Tailors I presented several different challenges from darning moth holes in an old but loved Harris Tweed jacket. To alerting shirt collars and suit trousers to accommodated the padding years. They are always inventive, go the extra mile and highly skilled and friendly. Therfore very highly recommended.

I have take several pairs of trousers or jeans for invisible repair and he really takes the term invisible seriously! I have also had a coat re lined and pocket’s repaired. An old favourite I couldn’t say goodbye to, and it was like new! The quality of work is absolutely fantastic. I really couldn’t recommend Brackenbury Tailors enough.

Najib did a fabulous job overhauling a dress that needed complex alterations to make it fit, including letting out seams, adding new fabric and replacing the zip. He gave a realistic and practical assessment of what was achievable, as well as a couple of options at different prices and then got the job done in good time. He insisted that we did proper fittings to make sure it was all going to work.

He also previously did invisible repairs on a couple of large holes in a favourite jumper which I was very pleased with. Overall very friendly and efficient service with great attention to detail.
