After a disastrous shopping trip in Market Harborough looking for walking boots, I dropped in at A. Farley & was welcomed by Sally. A complete breath of fresh air! Friendly, informative & helpful above and beyond practically every shopping experience I’ve ever had. I’m now the proud owner of my first walking boots. Sally is now on the hunt for my dream cowgirl boots, I am 100% confident she will again exceed.

I would recommended this shop, their prices and loyalty scheme is great and definitely make up for the longer delivery times.
If theres a problem, the A Farley customer team are very helpful and I have not been disappointed yet.

Excellent retailer with first class customer service! I ordered a jacket online at a really good price. I read some negative reviews and felt a bit twitchy about the purchase. An email to Holly put my mind at rest. She reassured me that the order had been processed and was being collected by the courier that day.

I would have been happy with the 6 working day delivery stated but was made up when my parcel arrived within 48 hours of ordering. Thank you so very much. I will shop with you again and recommend others use you!

I wish I could give a better review as the sweater I ordered is very nice and everyone I spoke to during my multiple calls was very friendly. This was unfortunately outweighed by issues and frustration:
- I ordered the sweater almost three months ago, it arrived yesterday
- There was 0 communication by the company as to the reasons for the delay (apart from via phone when I called)
- I called multiple times and every time I was promised the order would go out immediately (apart from the my third call where I was informed that the warehouse is now on a two week summer holiday)
- The packaging was a very cheap bag for a £400 sweater, it ripped and was open but luckily the sweater is unharmed

The two stars are for the friendliness and the good product, otherwise I unfortunately would have to give 0 stars

Ordered some clothes to be delivered online with the expected date 29 sep but still I'm waiting. Not even sure why they charged me for this quicker delivery. And the best thing about them is they can't even be bothered to reply to my emails. I will be returning the goods when they finally do come. Deserved zero stars for NO customer service.

I used to by my RM Williams online from Ahume.co.uk and my Barbour from outdoorandcountry.co.uk until I discovered A Farley of Kibworth and decided that we must support local traders and therefore have bought many items from Farleys shop, but should we continue following a recent experience?

I add the email I sent to Adam Farley, which explains the whole event, but we did not even receive the courtesy of a reply.
Needless to say that if one is running a business one will always make mistakes and I accept that, but it’s how one deals with the mistake that counts.

Dear Adam,
On Friday the 2nd of September my wife and I visited your web site to look at a pair of Ariat walking shoes.
The shoes my wife chose were “ARIAT Telluride Zip Boots - Womens Waterproof H20 - Dark Brown”. However, not being sure of the correct size we thought it prudent to ring and ask one of your team if the shoes were in stock at your shop in Kibworth and if not was the warehouse local to the shop to allow us to visit and try the shoes for the correct size.
I am sure you can imagine the frustration of a recorded voice at the beginning of the call informing me that I was 3 in the queue and it then taking a full hour to then go to 2 then 1 then the call being answered. I did make the young lady who answered the call aware that I had been waiting for 1 hour to which she replied "well we are busy”; I am sure you will agree that it does not take one hour to answer the two calls prior to me?
I asked the young lady if the online warehouse was local to the shop in Kibworth, to which the reply was yes. I then asked if she could get two pairs of the above mentioned shoes in size 42 and 43 to the shop as we would call into the shop that afternoon to try the shoes out prior to purchase. Unfortunately, we could not make the afternoon, but did telephone to inform them of that and we called in on Saturday the 3rd of September, only to find that she has sent the lace up shoes and not the zip up shoes we had requested.
Now, at this point having explained the above to the shop assistants, I am sure you can imagine our disappointment that not only were we kept waiting an hour on the phone to talk to one of your team, but having travelled from leicester to your shop, a distance of 22 miles round trip, to find the shoes we requested were indeed the wrong ones.
The shop assistants were most apologetic regarding not the one but the two mistakes we had experienced and assured us that they would call us as soon as the correct shoes were in the shop for us to try, hopefully tomorrow, Monday the 5th.
I look forward to receiving your comments regarding our experience and the remedy.

Unfortunately they didn’t have my items in stock although they accepted my order online. Luckily I see the Google reviews online about them selling stock they didn’t have and long delay times, so a quick phone call and I was refunded. Was able to buy my products elsewhere and had next day delivery. Customers need to know if you have the items in stock or not, if you did I doubt you would have any poor feedback.

BEWARE THIS COMPANY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY. The reason is I returned a Ladies Fleece a Christmas present for my Mother by special delivery and filled out a returns form that was inside the package and I could see from the Royal mail tracking number that the item had been delivered. However I did not receive a refund.

I emailed A Farley twice to chase them up about the refund and I never received a reply. After a month of waiting I still did not receive a refund. When I phoned them the lady I spoke to refused to give me a refund without the royal mail tracking number.

I do not have the tracking number to hand and I find it a dishonest way to treat customers that return items. They are making profit twice over by not giving a refund and then reselling the same item.

This appears to be a SCAM and I would not advise anyone to purchase items from this company as I have never known a company behave like this.

Update. I have heard from A Farley since I wrote this review and I have received an apology and a refund in full.
