Stringers Department Store

First time shopper. Lovely store Was served in men's wear by Evie, polite, helpful, freindly....what a pleasure 👌 a credit to your beautiful shop.
My husband and I left very happy customers 😁

Was made to feel my money wasn’t good enough. I stood at the checkout waiting to purchase a pair of slippers, the lady serving chose to answer the phone then walk off so another lady took over, saw me waiting and chose to help someone else with an enquiry who wasn’t even in the que. I have since gone on the Totes website and purchased the same item on there. I was going to call back next month for a couple of Barbour items, I won’t bother now. I used to like Stringers, however it seems now that unless you look like you have money they simply look through you. Very disappointing. Shame on you Stringers.

One of very few department stores on the high street. Great if you're a woman but if you're a bloke there's no point visiting the menswear on the second floor. Typical scenario, almost two floors catering for women and a very small area with hardly anything for men, there was one shoe on display almost like they were taunting the men! - half the floor space in the menswear section is a cafe for goodness sake!

Beautiful shop, perfect place for buying Christmas gifts, and the store members were very friendly and helpful
