Such a rude service. I tried to exchange some garment which I wasn't happy with. I had my receipt but not the card receipt and I received an enormous lecture by the shop keeper that I found very rude and made me feel extremely unconfortable to return the item.

Nice place with some interesting and funny things for the ladies.

Looking for a certain dress from Joy which I spotted online however, the York and Leeds stores had sold out. Fortunately a London store happen to have my size showing availability. A lovely lady named Anna helped locate the dress for me in store whilst I was on hold (calling from Hull), she could not of been anymore helpful then what she was, so polite and courteous. Anna organised the dress to be placed in storage for me until collection.

Also, Luke from the York Store helped me locate the dress in London and again could not fault the customer service I received from him too, he was able to locate a store in London who had the dress in my size for me to called.

A great place for quirky gifts for friends and family. I’ve also found some great clothes in the menswear too. Staff are always friendly too - a fun place to explore!

Visited the store for some presents, I felt very uncomfortable as the store assistants kept asking if I was okay, she was profiling me even though I said I was fine and she dragged her heels when I asked to look at a display piece and seemed like it was too much to do. Bad atmosphere and dirty fitting rooms. The clothes are naff and boring,nothing exciting here just plain. Go elsewhere

Joy has a excellent vintage style clothing, usually with good quality fabric and fits well for more curvey women (especially chest). More recently the quality of the fabric is much lower on some items (about H&M quality) - one £70 dress had fabric so cheep you could see my underwear through it - which isn't justified given the price for Joy dresses. I have also noticed they do not post reviews which are submitted on their website, so makes it harder to filter out the items where they are now using cheeper fabrics. I will keep buying from Joy because of fit and style, but it's more hit and miss on quality, which I hope they will correct.
