Sold 4 sarees to a bridal party that needed to be ordered. At point of order they insisted on 100% upfront payment (we should have known what's to come!). 6 weeks later the items delivered from India were different quality and colour. The store manager switched the sample saree to match the colour sent from India. When we all rejected the items referring to videos and photos taken of the original saree they point blank ignored the evidence and denied it all. Refusing a refund even though in the phone they clearly said that would be an option.

The store manager offloads any decision making by telling customers to deal with his director sitting in India. What does this person in India know of customer experience over in England? Or the laws and regulations of the UK?

Appalling customer service from top to bottom and these guys are professional manipulators, they will lie through their teeth to protect the small profits they are making.

Director in 'India' is a puppet placed as a fallback when they want to offload any proper decision... I.e the boss says no...

Zero integrity and zero customer service. The store has mould and damp everywhere as well, clearly management are squeezing the last bits of revenue out of this store and have no interest in investing in the business, its assets and customers. Stay away unless you are absolutely desperate to spend your money then this desperate business will gladly take it from you.

Top tips for shopping at House of Risa (RCKC)

1. DON'T DO IT 🛑🛑🛑

2. If you're putting in an order, pay minimal deposit. When they take your order they will get it made in India. What they don't tell you is the fitting, colour, materials will all vary wildly. If this is the case NO REFUND. Try and pay by credit card so you can do a chargeback if they mess up your order. 💳💳💳

3. Order months ahead, numerous delays are likely to happen. 🚚⏳️⛴️

4. Record your conversation, staff get easily confused, £12 blouse will become £60. Blue becomes green and peach becomes pink. So take pictures of your order, lots of pictures. Although staff will say your phone magically changes the items colours. 🤣😅🤣

5. Just don't shop here, you're better off paying a bit more from a reputable store. They get their stuff from India, you can order what they get for significantly cheaper online anyway. Their owner bad boy Ammit doesn't want to speak to customers so no chance of a refund. 🚨🚨🚨

I recently visited this place for my sister's wedding shopping. The collection is amazing. The place has a perfect blend of contemporary designs with a hint of tradition and they’re literally worth every penny!!! The staff was also very courteous and helpful. Specially thanks to pankaj.

I went to purchase lehenga for my brother's wedding. Amazing hospitality, thanks to the staff pankaj and vandana for hosting me with all the available categories in the store which helped me chose the most suitable garments. Will surely visit again!!!!

I got my prom dress from here and everyone gave compliments. I then took my sister here for her sari ceremony and everyone loved it too. Kalpana aunty was super helpful in selecting clothes that suit the event, your shape and your colour. Thank you so much kalpana aunty and I would definitely recommend this place 10/10

My mum and I bought a saree from here 1 year ago and when we opened it 3 months ago to get the blouse made, the saree has lost its colour in certain bits, has gone completely white.
Upon taking it back, they said it was our fault, “water has touched it“ or “you’ve sent it for dry cleaning”. We’d never worn the saree! Would not recommend them at all!

Visited Risa on Sunday with my son and his fiancée. Was totally amazed at the service that we received from Vandana. She knew exactly what to offer for each occasion. Vandana's input and recommendations were invaluable and much appreciated. May I take this opportunity to thank Vandana and all the trouble that she went through to make this shopping spree a delight! Definitely visiting again for that special occasion!

I love my outfit! This place has some amazing pieces and I’ve so far bought quite a few outfits from here so far including my engagement ceremony outfit (see picture). Kalpana Patel who works here is usually the person that helps me find exactly what I’m looking for and I always end up getting more. She’s great at choosing outfits that suit you, your body type, skin tone etc. she’s very skilled and honest so you can trust that you’re getting the right stuff. I will be coming back a lot I’m sure!
