I definitely will not be shopping here again. We liked an outfit for my sisters engagement. We needed 2 the exactly the same, 1 was available and they needed to order 1 for us in small. The customer service was rubbish because they did not order in time, we had to keep ringing to chase it up. When it arrived we picked it up, when I took this to the tailor to get this altered I got told that this is a extra large size not small. I spoke to one of the ladies at the shop who said it was my fault for not checking, but how do u check if the item is not labeled with the size. So i got told they will not do an Exchange! Then by the owner I got told that the tailor I went to probably did not want to do it as I would be losing alot of my design due to the alteration, and he did not measure correctly. So he (ricky) recommended a tailor which I went to. The tailor also said the same thing that why have a brought an Extra Large size... So two tailors say the same thing, but INDI KAL cannot admit there mistake after we spent over £700.

So people if you do buy from please beware of the size you purchase, as they will flog you of with really bad customer service!!

Huge amounts of unique choices of outfits and relatively competitively prices,
Managed to get our outfit.

However the shopping experience in terms of customer services left alot to be desired.

One of the outfits we looked to purchase was stitched incorrectly which resulted in a the skirt being 2 inches short on one side.

We kindly asked for discount as this was an imperfection on a £200+ outfit. The cost of which to alter would have been in the region of about £40

The owner of the shop was very defensive and advised that this was the quality of produce from india.

Though after much bartering with the owner she agreed to a discount. Had we not had a specific theme in mind and been able to find we were looking for, elsewhere we would have not bothered as the owner was so rude and wasnt all that bothered about securing a £500. and to our horror she advised us not to come back and not to ask for a discount.
Beautiful clothes but the service and staff were shocking.

Beautiful dresses! Service there was amazing, they were so helpful, I swapped between 2 lehnga's 4 times and they were so patient in letting me try them on. I ended up buying a one of a kind lehnga from there, which is absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend to all people who would like to buy Indian clothes from a high end store, which is very exclusive and up to date in its designs.

BE WARNED BRIDES TO BE.
I bought my reception outfit from here a few months ago. Slight hook issue but I liked the dress so then bought it and they offered to fix it. It had broken off by the time I got home, it's fine right only a hook. The reason why I bought it is that the lady promised me these are ONE-pieces and won't be made again. This is what sold me on buying the dress as I know no one else would have seen it. I walked down this week only to see an IDENTICAL dress in the shop window to mine I had bought. So much for one piece. I have many family members in Leicester and I now have to look for another dress as I am sure some potential guests will now be wearing the same style. So disappointed, I will never be shopping with you again.

Assistant that helped me was really nice, I liked a top but stitching was awful and material had holes all over. So asked the owner for discount she said no and said we were paying for the design not stitching! What rubbish she wanted to sell me a top with holes for 24 pound! Owner has not much common sense if she wants to keep customers. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money here.

Such a shame, they have really lovely things in the store but the customer service is awful. I would advise anyone buying from there to triple check the clothing/jewellery before taking home.

I certainly won’t be returning to shop for my wedding next year.

I went to the smaller Indikal on the corner and the service I got from the lady was not good at all.
I got my reception outfit, which was the only thing I was happy about.
We had come down for the weekend from London to Leicester and every time we went into this shop- she was on the phone to a relative or something and it wasn't as if she would say I will speak to you later as I have customers, she'd stay on for a minute or two more as we are in the shop and then end the call.
Me and my partner really liked the stuff there but when he was trying to be his usual cheeky chappy self, this woman was giving a stone cold response, not even a smile.
I'm spending quite a bit on an outfit, the least we'd expect is good customer service, if not, a smile at the very least. And even then, no tailoring services offered for such an outfit.
As if the above wasn't bad enough...
As I said, being a reception outfit, it was quite expensive and the way she packaged it to give it to us was just horrendous. She had put it in a large plastic (cellophane type) bag and a big battered box (probably the same one it came in from India)) and when we asked for a hanger or at least a protective sleeve for the outfit, she had refused it, saying the protective sleeve is only there on the outfits because of COVID- which is silly because other places do usually give another protective layer for expensive outfits.
I still cannot believe, she gave it the way she did!
The bigger Indikal shop, people were lovely, however the smaller one- the woman needs to learn some manners, how to laugh and how to send a customer off happy- give good customer service and don't just give someone an expensive outfit for their wedding in an old battered box.

I considered this my favourite shop to get my Indian clothes from. The two ladies who usually serve me are so helpful. Not today!!!! I just drove from Staffordshire to get a much needed kaftan which I thought would be no problem from Indikal. How wrong was I!!!! Welcome by rude ladies, one of which could not speak any English and the one that could didn’t seem bothered to assist me. After frequently visiting this shop for more than 3 years now, I will not bother again.
