Very rude staff, my mum is struggling with her mobility at the moment so was dressed for comfort the shop assistant took one look at my mum and assumed she couldn’t afford anything and told her not a lot of options in her size, my mum explained that she was loosing weight and the shop assistant said why doesn’t postpone your wedding. Being skinny doesn’t make you beautiful being a nice person does, maybe you should consider this when employing shop assistants.

Very positive experience at Melita Boutique. An excellent choice and range of wedding outfits. The lovely lady, l hope l remembered right as Julie was spot on with her help and advice, thank you. I was over the moon with my mother of the bride dress and hat, much to the delight of my family !

Attended an appointment recently to find an outfit for my daughter's wedding. Melita was fabulous - very kind, attentive and not at all pushy! I am a petite mother of the bride but that didn't matter - Melita has excellent seamstresses available to alter outfits. I highly recommend a visit to Melita Boutique - you will not be disappointed.

Went with my mum to find her a mother of the bride dress and ended up leaving with two as she just couldn’t decide! The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere in the shop was great. Almost too good of a selection, as my mum had a hard time narrowing it down to two dresses (and failed to get it down to one). Close to the car park too.

Jan from Melita's was fantastic. It was a great experience. I would throughly recommend Melita's to any mothers of the bride to be. Great shop with so many outfits to choose from. Jan had so much time, patience, and advice to allow me to try on many outfits, before we found the one.

What a brilliant assistant Emma was. Went with my friend to choose an outfit for her son wedding. We had her undivided attention, a plethora of choice and left with the perfect outfit feeling happy and cared for. Cannot recommend Melita highly enough.

I am responding to the response I got via Google and if you know who I am maybe a personal contact would have been - I was not angry but yes I was embarrassed and I have been to your Boutique since Covid and purchased and wasn't asked on entry to the shop if I had an appointment. I wasn't annoyed at all about being asked if I had an appointment it was more the way in which it was asked - I see now that on your website it says about an appointment but how many customers look at a website before visiting a shop.. The only other people in your shop during our visit was one other customer who also had the same greeting and left before us after having a quick look around, she too obviously didnt realise she needed to check the website. I was mortified as we were treated like second class citizens not because there was an appointment system in place - I completely understand about Covid, we have all lived and breathed it since March 2020 and to use that as an excuse for rudeness is unacceptable. Anyway I have learned a lesson here.

Having purchased from Melita's for special occasionwear over the last 20+ years I was really embarrassed by the greeting I received on Saturday. I had my cousin with me for the day, who lives out of town and she had been telling me how difficult it has been to find the perfect dress for her son's wedding and I suggested we popped into Melita as they normally have a lovely selection. We arrived around 3pm and was greeted with 'do you have an appointment' sorry no I said I didn't realise we needed one to come into the shop, I asked if we should go!!!. We were told if we just wanted to look at the sale items we could do that but that they had appointments ALL afternoon and couldnt really help us but if we wanted to look we could. I was mortified - Melita if the shop is appointment only on a Saturday then put a sign on the door Appointments Only and lock the door. In the meantime, Emma kindly went out of her way to help my cousin and she did save the day with her kind and warm sales skills. I think the others need to rethink whose important, them or the customers, I really was upset by the initial greeting when we walked in Sadly the next person through the door had exactly the same greeting by the same sales lady. Will certainly think twice before coming in next time
