Peacocks

One of favourite shops, great quality clothing, always lots of variety and good prices. The biggest bonus is that they do what I call normal sized clothes ie over 16 and still fashionable. Great for kids clothing too.

While my mum was visiting for a couple of days she bought me a dress as a birthday present. When I opened it (on my birthday) it didn't fit properly & so I tried to return it to the Bury shop where she had bought it a few days earlier. I was told by the assistant that as I didn't have my mum's debit card I could only do a straight swap (same garment different size) or find other garments for the exact same price.

Well obviously I wouldn't have my mum's card as she lives over 2 hours away & that would be fraud!! And secondly there was nothing else in the shop that I liked which would add up to £25. So I asked for a store credit note so I could come back when they have different stock & spend my birthday money.......but 'apparently' they don't do this?!?! When I queried this policy I was told it was to stop people stealing things & bringing them back for a refund!!! Ah hhem excuse me??? The store assistant would not budge on the decision & clearly said there was nothing I could do but keep the garment or try looking elsewhere!

So now I'm left with a dress that I will not ever wear, have wasted my mum's £25 that she spent for my birthday present & only have 14 days from date of purchase to try & find other garments I might like.

What absolutely terrible service!!! What on earth do they do around Christmas time when people buy presents for their family but God forbid if anyone wants to return something.

Really nice clothes for the summer time prices not bad either plenty of space to walk round the shop doors left open so COVID secure

Over priced for quality. Ladies jeans £25 plus...would prefer to purchase fro. Zara

Staff member on the till was very approachable.
Not sure where the queue started but managed to pay for my goods.
It does sadden me that mens selection is limited on colours. That being said most clothing companies follow this.
Men like affordable colourful clothes too.

I bought a pair of slip on trainers today. The trainers were dirty underneath and looked like they had been worn and put back on the shelf
I showed the older lady she was so rude and blind said she can't see anything and argued with me. Not a nice lady. Very abrupt to other customers aswell.

My wife and I visited today, absolutely discusted with the state of the entrance/exit mats and the sales floor was dirty and dusty with a weeks worth of dirt, clothes were on the floor near the rails, not a good impression for shoppers.

Good clothes however the cleanliness of the store is awful, thick bits of dust in dressing room and on store floor! Needs a good clean to be able to sell new clothes
