Matalan acknowledged their error and infomed me by email (Nov 2018) that the trays are now priced. Have changed my thoughts from a one star to a 5 star today because of this action. They listened then acted Great customer service!

NONCARING STAFF THEREFORE NO PURCHASE POSSIBLE Visited branch in London E11 1HH on Mon 22 Oct 2018 and saw some glass trays with gold trimmings. Seeing no bar code or price tags, asked an assistant can she tell me the price. She took the tray to the cashier desk and spoke to a colleague. I overheard him ask: "how many are there?" She answered about 5. He said, "we'll have to leave it for XXX to look in to". I left as unable to purchase and couldnt wait for XXX to arrive and give a price. ******** Returning today Fri 26 Oct 2018 to see whether the trays are now priced and so able to purchase one. To my horror the trays are still there with no price tags or barcodes!?!?!? *********Appears Matalan doesnt need to sell them and are there just for decorations! Certain the tray, the assistant showed her colleague is back on the shelf too

Returned a few items bought online. Easy process

Staff are friendly and helpful unlike the Romford store.
The store has a dull atmosphere and sale items could be presented better. Some areas are untidy and unappealing to the eye

I've been shopping here a long time but I feel as though I can only give 2 stars as every time I come in service seems to be worse than last time. Since they've installed self service there are always long queues for cash payers/exchange/refunds. There's often only 1 person on the till & generally there are always a couple members of staff standing at the counter area chatting. Today I had the displeasure to over hear a male member of staff describing the skin peeling from his back. Please do better Leytonstone Matalan

Cheap clothes and sometimes can find really good things. Staff could be more helpful

Very poor customer service, the man was in self checkout has attitude issue and rude to me. I request him politely to remove security tag but he didn't even check properly and did not remove tag. I was leaving the store with my purchased product and security stopped me because of alarm. I had show purchased receipts and and to go again to
remove security tag , he didn't even say sorry and dose not even put my clothes in the bag,

Christmas blouse ,jeans,jumpers are all so minimalist lookbook ever you will love it if you order online is more much cheaper 😉 😀 😄 😜 😏 😅 😉 😀 😄 😜 😏 😅 8

This is located in the high street, and has its own campus. The parking is on the back side (take the land beside McDonald's) and there are ample parking there.

Parking is pay & display though, £1 for 1 hour. If you buy £5+ in Matalan, you can get it refunded, by presenting the part of the parking voucher.

The store itself is not too big and didn't have much stock variety.

Staff are horrendous in this store. One girl with decided to rudely sent me to the queue for click and collect to then be asked to return back to her. No greeting from the staff and so miserable.
The only nice one was the mixed race lady with a mask on.
Previously had an issue with the 'manager' Asian lady who again didn't have a clue about customer service
