The Mixer

After hearing lots of positive comments from friends we finally got to visit The Mixer.

It feels more like someones home than a bar/restaurant with its stripped bare walls, flowers hanging from the ceiling and a casual its time to relax vibe.

When it comes to Sunday lunch this can be hit or miss. On this occasion, it was definitely a big hit! with a simple menu of 2 items per course. They also didn't scrimp on the portions either. Best of all they are dog friendly and both of our furry friends enjoyed their Sunday lunch probably more than we did.

Booked for a themed brunch. After being told a few days before everything was OK, only to be told an hour before we were due that it wasn't on. We went and it was basically just us. Very disappointed in the lack of contact. The place also smelled like cigarettes. Food was OK. The only plus were the drinks were good

Booked today for roast the service and food was amazing only things that let it down was it looked like it was still needing the decorating completed and they only had turkey as an option left for roast but the food was absolutely stunning. Compliments to the chef! Who I believe was also the owner what a positive personal touch.

Mid week roast - rarely find a roast with nothing that could be improved on. But this was great. Meat perfectly cooked, roasts were best Ive had & veg in family serve style bowls helped too. Drinks knock the bill back up to nearer a usual price but the deal got us in the door and found a new favourite. And its to be expected when somewhere has such low prices on an offer. Great place, definitely going back

I didn’t really like it, the food wasn’t bad. The place felt cold and I just thought it looked very old, run down and tacky, although I know it’s like that for a reason… but staff was friendly and £5 for roast mid week isn’t bad!

Love the Mixer! Sunday lunch today with friends and it was sublime. The China and cultery don’t match but who cares when the food is this good. Lovely staff too! Lucky, lucky us having this on our doorstep!

After reading mixed reviews, so glad we finally came to try this place out for ourselves.
Food - roast on point. Crispy potatoes, moist and fluffy yorkshires and well cooked beef. Lots of veg!
Drinks - cocktail and red wine - lush. Nice glasses too.
Service - genuine, attentive and accommodating. Couldn’t fault.
Decor - many comments about the stripped back decor and shabby not chic. However it is supposed to be like that, and adds to the relaxed feel. It isn’t to everyone’s taste but the lighting and atmosphere in here was pretty good.
We will definitely be coming back and overall it was like a niche find in London with a ‘local’ service, and just round the corner .. for some.

Really good roast. Food was really well done. Meat was great and unbelievable price for a mid week roast at less than £5
