Slug & Lettuce - South Woodford

Where is management looking after this place, I have seen the decline in the last few months. Poor trained bar staff. Tables don't get cleared and cleaned. Young staff swearing and standing around on the phones instead of serving at the bar. No direction or senior staff to take control. Management get a grip on your staff, train them in customer service and clean this mess up.

Had a lovely Friday lunch here, hoping this won't ruin things, not that busy at lunchtime a fantastic place to cone and eat and converse with friends. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating and a lovely area at the back for kids (I hardly noticed them). Staff were friendly and attentive. A great Friday brunch, I'll be back

First time here and loved it! Food was really good

Terrible service, bad attitude. Woman who was doing table service decided to pick and choose who to serve at the bar. Neither did they keep track of who was waiting first at the bar and favoured their friends and regulars. Expensive drinks, 2 for 1 cocktails that have to be the same drink, was not told that by the staff or menu. Was going to to be charged full price for both cocktails until I questioned why as no where said about the same drink? Whilst that’s not a huge deal, overall it was a disaster, waited about 15 minutes to be served with only 4 others at the bar. Would not recommend!

Had birthday drinks with friends on Sunday afternoon. Had reserved and requested a specific spot in the pub which they kindly did for me. Was served by Lee and Leah who were very efficient. The lovely Destiny was also working and gave me a cheeky tequlia shot for my birthday☺️. Was a great night.

Leah is fantastic. She has excellent customer service skills and really ensures that your every need is met. I was exceptionally hungover today and she brought drinks to my table and ensured that I was able to continue drinking through the pain. Incredibly supportive 10/10 would recommend.

We booked the afternoon tea experience at the south Woodford branch. What a disappointment. The welcome and lack of care attitude from the staff was beyond me. We were so disgusted. We ended up leaving before we could experience the afternoon tea..
I would avoid this branch at all cost!

Amazing experience at slug and lettuce all thanks to Leah. She is amazing one of the best cocktail makers. Always so friendly smiling and kind. She is an asset to the South Woodford branch. It wouldn’t be the same without her. Thank you Leah for always making our experience great every time we visit. :))))
