Colchester needs more late-afternoon coffee shops to increase it's City profile. We hope this Costa will stay open until 8-9pm! Not everyone wants a pub or cocktails for a late outing!

Update: We have visited this Costa now that it is opened. It has a lovely atmosphere and view, two storey, and sockets everywhere for people with laptops. I love their hot chocolate with oat milk, sweet thickness. They also offer M&S food! However, they hugely lack on the dessert & cakes department! No muffins or cakes at all yet, which is a bit disappointing.

Another wonderful aspect though, is that it stays open until 7pm everyday, which is refreshingly welcomed, instead of closing earlier like other coffee shops do. For winter months 7pm closing time is decent, but we hope in summer months they stay open until 9pm. We'll definitely be visiting this shop more often :)

Nice coffee didn't have almond milk offered an alternative. Service a bit slow but they were very busy.

My latte turned out to be mocha, my husband got pot of water without tea bag and all quite pricey. Queu was long and took quite some time to order. By that time my toddler was irritated so we left early.

Costas all smell like rotten milk to me. The food is ridiculously overpriced, alongside the coffee which for what-it-is, is extortionate, but such are the rip-off times we live in.

If you disagree about the price, visit Italy and try "normal" coffee anywhere and notice how they only spend a quid a cup, at the most.

It might be cheap there, but Italian coffee is the nuts! They KNOW how to make it properly!
