Esquires Coffee

Popped in for a cold smoothie, which was really tasty, however no ice evident & couldn't sit in to drink as it was quite literally hotter in there than it is outside today.

I noticed there are aircon units in the ceiling but they must not be working as I doubt the staff would be coping with today's heat by choice! I also noted that the baked goods display fridge had a temperature of 30 degrees on it. Owner needs to look at their cooling systems. Food may not be safe to eat during summer.

Staff however, we're lovely and helpful.

Nice coffee shop - but a great disappointment that the brilliant free Lightpaper which I picked up there is no longer being stocked. Why? Surely in these times of exploding prices, high inflation, crazy energy prices, council tax hikes, withdrawal of peoples rights and all the other relevant news that we do not get through mainstream media, apart from doom and gloom, it is the perfect opportunity (at no cost) to make information available and the paper is a very informative read, all articles referenced and validated - unlike mainstream media! Won't be using the coffee shop anymore! I would have thought with the cost of living crisis, any coffee shop or outlet would be glad to be informed as it is their businesses that will suffer with extortionate energy bills and with fewer customers able to afford refreshments. Really disappointed.

Always enjoyed the way the staff been in there, but nearly all of them have left and the quality of coffee just got really poor. Got a flat white this morning and it was so bitter and also very watery too. Definitely last time I’ll be going there.

Food is far too expensive and poor quality. Two slices of toast for £3.75?!
Ordered a cheese and ham toastie for £5.25. Arrived as a slightly warm sandwich which had been buttered in the centre only. Turkish eggs which was £6 did not arrive at all. After a while went to check on it and it had been forgotten. Won’t be eating there again. Shame as coffee is quite nice.

Love this place. Easily the best coffee shop in Dartford. Always welcoming and friendly. Lots of healthy choices, including vegan, veggie and gluten free. The food is always fresh and tastes as good as it looks.
Great choice of coffee and proper herbal teas. Friendly staff and you can take your pooch. What's not to love!

Waitress got the order wrong. Too busy chatting up some old bloke. Too arrogant to admit mistake. Ended up having breakfast in weatherspoons instead.
