One of the best coffees (and hot chocolates) in Canterbury hands down! The two owners are absolutely lovely and have so much care that you enjoy yourself and have a lovely drink. Their food selection is also to die for, hot sandwiches and so many nice baked goods to chose from! I would gonna where else for coffee when in Canterbury

I hardly ever write reviews, but this place is fantastic, so I thought I give it a go. The coffee is nice as you would expect.. but the sandwiches are amazing too, so I would definitely recommend these.
It's a place to calm down and escape the busy high street. Don't expect a place to work on your laptop because they aren't allowed there (which is great).
Also, the owners are super friendly! Definitely a place I will visit again.

The place looks lovely, the coffee is good, cornbread is a bit too spicy (but that might be just me) but the fact you're not allowed to work on your laptop in there is very disappointing. It would be the perfect place to sit down and write. Maybe I'll go back to try the toast but won't be my new daily spot. 😕

This place is EXCEPTIONAL and was the highlight of my trip back to Kent (not known for its coffee) when I recently visited from Sydney (known for its coffee!) to see family. The service is exceptional and SO friendly, the food absolutely exquisite and the coffee nothing short of first class! I really love that laptops are NOT allowed. Being a small and boutique coffee shop in a University city, it means you can actually enjoy a catch up with friends and sit in without it being hogged by customers wanting it as a workspace (though what a great workspace it would be!).
I can’t wait to return again next year and you will be my first stop (family second 🤣!).

Lovely calm space for proper coffee. Absolutely the best in town without a doubt. Every detail is nicely considered here and it's great to see. Also love the no laptop rule, wish more places had this! Will be back to try the toasties the other reviews say are so good.

We love the coffee shop, where you can find yourself elcoming and cosy. The oat flat white was not a wow but delicious enough to enjoy the coffee.

We preferred “Reuben” and “Aubergine + Romesco” pre-coffee and the aubergine + romesco was way much delicious than we thought. Korean kimchi brings a unique taste to the toastie.

Absolute best coffee in Canterbury. The loveliest, warm staff that have cultivated a really unique space. No laptops allowed which is a blessing in my book, go to Starbucks if you wanna work.

If you want good coffee and delicious toasties possible, come here.

Outstanding food and service from the team at Fringe + Ginge this afternoon. Fringe + Ginge is a fantastic cafe located in the back streets of Canterbury. Somewhat limited seating but incredibly well decorated (and the outside seating will be a dream in the summer). The pour over coffee was to a very great standard but the star of the show was the Harissa Grilled Cheese. Absolutely magnificent favours bursting out of gorgeously crusted sourdough bread (or I think it was). Made for a delightful lunch out in this cold weather.
