Costa Coffee

Great coffees but it will be better if this is a friendly environment. It has outside seating.

I use Costa a lot this was the fastest service i’ve had, shame i ordered decaf but got normal, good thing i’m not allergic, plenty of outside seating.

Pretty disgraceful. Whilst my coffee was being prepared, me and my mum participated in the “spin the wheel” for the Costa charity. And my mum landed on a free sweet treat.

I told your employee named Kasia that we had participated and landed on a sweet treat. She then proceeded to tell me “next time you should do it when I am there.”

She then chucked us a millionaire shortbread and said “this is the only thing that comes with that.”

There were no signs to say that we had to participate whilst someone watched over us. Besides, there were tons of people around us and in the queue as witnesses that we had put in the £1. I am not a thief nor a liar.

I cannot drink milk . I could not have ate that shortbread that she so rudely chucked at us. I asked if it could be changed to something else as I do not take milk and she was adamant that she wouldn’t do that. So I asked for my money back as the wheel said “free treat” not a “millionaire shortbread”.

She then started to act very aggravated and made faces about it to the next customer. She was embarrassing herself.

I simply went in to grab a coffee with my mum. And we were treated like people who were cheating or stealing .

Was this because we were ethnic? I wish for this to be followed up with herself.

I've been twice to Costa Palace Gardens and both times got the wrong order. First time I ordered a plain croissant and got a Bakewell tart. When I was surprised and enquired, I was told that no I had definitely said Bakewell tart. Of course I would know what I ordered. But, having worked in service myself, I tend to be forgiving so I smiled and said I would eat it no problem. The second time I went in just two weeks later, I ordered a medium latte. The server kept repeating small latte and I kept saying, no a medium latte but she wasn't listening. The supervisor noticed my frustration after three attempts to get her attention and correct her were ignored and intervened to listen to what I was saying. Once again I was told that, no I had definitely ordered a small latte. This time I didnt let it go and I replied I had told her 3 times it was a medium but she wasn't listening or looking at me. Manager didn't apologise and made me feel I was being unreasonable and rude, saying she is busy and doing her best. I hadn't complained, just pointed out I had said what I had said 3 times after being told a second time I said something I just did not. It seems from the names here that those who had similar bad experiences here on reviews were all from similar 'brown skinned' backgrounds so it makes me feel we are not welcome there and I shall not return. Pret here I come!

Sometimes turns into a nursery with buggies and children running around, when you have hot drinks to hold, making the area tight for manoeuvring safely

Service is a bit slow as they only have one till, otherwise the selection of food and sweet treats are excellent, they have a choice for vegan's and vegetarian's, staff are friendly and helpful,

We finished the day with a lovely latte & toasted sandwich. Staff were so nice & very helpful. Wheelchair accessible toilet & baby changing area. Highly recommended 😊😊😊😊😊

One the very best costa shops and loveliest kindest and most professional staff ever .
I always love setting there and enjoy a professional made coffee by them .
