Stephenson Tea And Coffee House with luxury Bed and Breakfast

Happened on this place by chance when we walked past and noticed the sign outside. The steep stairs almost decided us against going in (one of our party is 83) but we decided to give it a try. We were glad we did. The food was excellent with nice additions to the salad trimmings. Staff very helpful and friendly and a good experience overall.

Popped in without a reservation yesterday but was quickly shown to a table. All the staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. We were served our drinks first very quickly. They gave us plenty of time to choose what to order to eat which you need because there is a lot to choose from and I have no problems finding something different and tasty even with my diet being vegetarian and whatnot. The food is amazing really fresh and tasty. It's the extras on the plate that make it. The different salads and side dishes with the mains and the fruit with the afters. I can't recommend this place enough. 10 out of 10. Its the same when it comes to the puds there is always something different to try but my favourite are the chocolate brownies.

Delicious home made, good quality food and drinks well presented. Very pleasant and friendly service. Particular favourite is their home made quiche, always a good selection including vegetarian which comes with a varied and colouful sales. Divine cakes, always a gluten free option. Alcohol if you want it. Good tea and coffee. All the friends and family I have taken there were impressed.

This is such a lovely cafe! We were greeted warmly on arrival and were given excellent service. The food was really delicious and fantastic value. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and is a pleasant place to spend some time. Highly recommended!

Went for breakfast today. The staff were lovely, the food was sensational ( had eggs Benedict) and it came with a free hot drink. I would recommend to any body easily. We will be going again. Prices are very reasonable, alot cheaper than other places in town centre and the quality far exceeds the others. The eggs were perfectly poached. Hats off to the chef, and support decent local businesses. Thank you xx

Took my little girl during half term and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Can't wait to go again and hopefully take my Mum for afternoon tea.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Only had a bacon butty so can't give an accurate review on rest of food but the bacon butty was lovely (but it's kinda hard to screw up a bacon butty ain't it 😂)
